Probably streets for big bux (watch out for landmines around the car dealership) or just factory for the sheer speed of getting in and out if you want to farm karma

About scav karma and such, how does it work? How does one differenciate scavs from pmcs just by the looks?

Both are pretty terrible tbh, you're going to have to aim for either legs or face since it won't even reliably pen a paca. GT are tracers tho so keep that in mind.

You get bonus karma for extracting as a scav or killing PMC's or traitor scavs that have shot at scavs or bosses in that raid. You lose karma by shooting scavs or bosses. Best not to use your gun at all unless you're 100% certain it's a PMC or traitor (eg you saw them shoot a scav, certain pieces of clothing you recognise from your PMC clothes and such). You also get lots of scav karma for coop and vehicle extracts.

More karma = better randomly generated scav loadouts + shorter cooldown on scav raids, bad karma the opposite. AI scavs (other than bosses) will not shoot fellow scavs unless you shot a scav before. If you reach 6.00 karma bosses become friendly and you get a second tab of goods to buy on Fence.

Rogues and raiders dont count as scavs for scav karma but engage at your own risk.

Yes they are assholes like that, put in place to prevent scav players from easily farming bosses. The karma hit for killing bosses is somewhat harsh even if they shot first. Karma or your scav, you'll have to take the L either way if you can't flee but that's Tarkov for ya.
Once friendly they won't shoot you anymore unless in self defence, they will shoot other player scavs/pmcs tho so you can walk around them for free loot, with a nice bodyguard watching your back

Woods is one of those maps you have to learn to traverse safely. Some spawns are open to fire almost immediately, but even those have ways of getting from point a to b without being spotted. If you're spawning outskirts, I recommend heading towards zb-14 and staying behind the concrete wall.

beeing "scared" is the normal default for many newer players. I think there are only two ways. Explain to them spacing, why its ultra bad to be so close together and how they should look in different directions. And if that does not work, they just have to go some raids first. Just let them take the lead for a change.

Mmyeah, I think my biggest gripe is that I myself have unbelieveable ammounts of anxiety, and that unfortunately hardcore translates to Tarkov, so it's always so infuriating when I have a schizo moment and they're shuffling right in my cheeks 😅 I'll try explaining to them the fundamentals next time

Yea, videos are great to learn. But more the videos of doing quests or extracting or made by people who dont push every fight, i feel like you wouldnt learn too much from watching videos from someone like landmark while they are pretty fun this is not how you will be playing. Stuff like pestilys raid series is better

I dont know how advanced your friend is, but if you truly want him to get better. He could go solo and you watch his stream and then you give him feedback.

That is probably the most annoying way to learn, whike it may be fast having a backseat gamer in your ear always sucks, i feel like its best to play together and explain why where and when you are doing things in the raid, explain the thought process and make him chack the map not juat follow you

I think for this specific problem, it is the best way. Since his friend, as far as I understood it, has "fear" and cant navigate (the maps). The best way to overcoming this, is to go solo and have help from somebody who can explain how to navigate.

It helps if you use a fansite to view the map... if you have a second monitor, it helps a lot. Otherwise could leave it open on your phone. Running scav raids as much as possible is lower risk usually, since you join mid-raid and some pmcs will already be dead or extracting by then. You could also try running offline raids, but I see it as a huge waste of time personally because you don't get to keep items, exp, etc as far as I know

group scav runs here in a lfg group might be helpful too, but still strongly recommend having a map open and learning the landmarks so you can learn maps faster and orient yourself better

Guys, I cant do quest in streets, I always get killed with the items for the quests on me, I've got 10 streets quest from all traders and boy I die everytime, the fps not great also and i have a fairly good pc.

some areas like resort will just be awful to go to at almost any time in the raid, but it seems like you'll have higher success if you happen to spawn near your location then go there first, and leave immediately... otherwise you could hide out somewhere until timer is down to like 10-12 mins, then try doing the quest

What I did was get into the raid and stay for about 15-30 min afk so most pmcs are out and high contested areas are usually safer

if you have quests in resort, roam around the map go in resort in the last 12-15 minutes just to be safe, the most you will encounter at that point is probably scavs and scav players (1 or 2 usually)

So I killed a scav for my last kill on ground zero for the kicking cans quest, but I was a scav as well. Do you have to be a PMC and get a kill or kill a PMC and scavs don't count
