You can buy a gun from traders. Or, you can run as as SCAV and extract, and use those guns

yeah i noticed a scav started shooting at me and my buddy and after we killed them and i bled out the killfeed had no usernames saying it was playerscavs we killed. also if AI scavs looting ur stuff means u dont get it back in insurance, doesnt that defeat the purpose of insurance? i thought prapor has scavs on payroll to specifically return the loot thats urs if they find it instead of just keeping it for themselves

if theres an element of realistic 'scavs pocketing ur gear' every now and again it still wouldnt explain why NONE of my gear has come back

-You want to get one map down well. Don’t spread yourself thin early on. Focus on getting good enough at one map you can always go back there and make money if you need to, then go learn others. Start anywhere but Factory.
-If you want to guarantee profit, you can always enter the cycle of scavving and offline-PMCing/Practice Mode while your scav is on cooldown. Scavving can only make you money. Practice mode is great for learning maps, learning loot runs, and getting good at killing scavs and scav bosses, and other core mechanics like hipfire. It's literally impossible to lose any money doing this, so it just stacks up while you learn a lot
-Hipfire is exceptional, using a flashlight and hipfiring is a hugely important mechanic to start practicing. Use practice mode
-Stop running everywhere - sprinting is very loud and gives you away, it provides a lot of opportunity to ambush you. Whenever you're in high-traffic areas, be very disciplined about when you sprint.
-Have a goal in mind every raid, plan a route and try to stick roughly to it. If you notice a route failing 3 times in a row, change your route. This makes it easier to keep track of which routes actually work and which are reliably dangerous.
-Positioning is everything. In combat, frequently reposition, this is just one of the reasons map knowledge is critical and should be built and practiced ASAP. Pick your fights, don't be afraid to retreat
-Ammo is more important than guns, but you need to know how to use what ammo you have. High damage vs High penetration is a critical difference - use an ammo chart.
-Learn from every death, there's almost always a lesson, recording them and watching them back really helps improve
-Most importantly, have fun with it - don't be afraid to take a break if it's frustrating you too much.

You should not give shit about dying as pmc, at tge beginnimg scavs will often have better gear than you so its not a huge deal and later on you need to fight the fear of dying on pmc to do well in fights and improve, so the sooner you stop caring about pmc deaths the better your experience will be

all items have a purpose in the game, some are served as items for upgrading your hideout, some are items you have to hand in. your best bet is probably watching a video to help you understand

Its significantly esier to do on pmc than on scav tbh. You just need to wait untill its pretty late in the raid to make sure the person youre voiping isnt a pmc. Then you get to a place thats frequented by scavs and near the scav coop extract. The reserve building with the dropdown room or the med building usually work for me for example then you just gotta use your irl vibe checking skills to determine if the scav could kill you or not from the way he talks, if he sounds ok make him drop his weapons, give him some loot as a treat and extract

I honestly would not stress over taking coop. With the new car exfils +6 rep is easiest it has ever been.

From village to bunker for sure because sunken is right between them too. Another good spot is from spine to sawmill.

Really scavs are just all over the damn map. Just depends if someone else runs into them first

if you have nothing to lose, you're sometimes better off fighting the first PMC you can see to possibly get good weapons/loot instead of looting half the map

scavs are hard at the beggining tbh. the most important thing is to remember the longer they shoot the better their aim is. so try to headshot them. and keep in mind theyll come to you, and that they have bush-esp. So try to position yourself in a nice place, like stay in a house and just aim for the doors, dont try to get them from the windows if you dont feel confident

can anyone tell me how much bullet drop to expect with 54r lps/ps? at like 100-200m I'm missing way too many shots I feel like should hit, using a mosin with the 1p69 3x-10x, 1.37 moa, adjusting the zero for range even using a range finder, full stamina holding breath etc

exactly. I... think it's more of a user error situations tbh. It's easy to fall into the pitfalls of "this isnt hitting" when in reality it's "you're not hitting". 1.4 MOA is far from perfect, at 100m the grouping will be more or less exactly 1/8th of the area of a PMC head.
