Look up on the wiki which rewards/punishments you prefer.

which means certain guns act differently...if you have an AK with no barrel/receiver that can be changed out, then link searching it will shjow you everything

Suicide runs in factory, either a Mosin or the 366 with AP-M if you can get it.
It's one of those sucky quests you just have to power trough, best to do it as early as possible since factory is still filled with pistolings and nakeds. Same with stirrup.

BEAR arguably gets the better starter kit, the rogues you mentioned and a handful of quests that require you to kill the opposite faction.
There were rumours about RUAF on shoreline this wipe and the BTR on streets is supposedly cheaper for BEAR.

Nothing particulary amazing in there, keep the dog tags, the rubber butpad of the AK, the calok and the OPSKS-DT since you need it for gunsmith.
