Pretty much yea. If you keep running a map you’ll eventually start to recognize the areas more and more. When your first starting to learn having a map on a second monitor or phone is helpful.

So you need to be in a raid for 7min, or I think ~400-600 EXP.

Otherwise you get a 'run thru'

you only get MIA if you disconnect intentionally, or do not extract.

Very rarely - the servers get patched and the raid brought down to 10min, in that case Just being alive extracts you, a message is sent for this.

The raid simply has to have started more than 7 minutes ago

So if you spawn in as a scav after 7 minutes or more has passed, you can leave instantly

And it's only 200 exp you need otherwise

One thing that worked really well for me was each wipe when I was learning the game, I basically picked one map to learn really well and focus on. Learn the spawns, learn the extracts, learn the good loot areas and where the high traffic areas are.

Once you know those things, then you will sort of innately know how the map and player movement will flow most raids, so you can tailor your experience accordingly.

If you want to guarantee profit, you can always enter the cycle of scavving and offline-PMCing/Practice Mode while your scav is on cooldown. Scavving can only make you money. Practice mode is great for learning maps, loot runs, and getting good at killing scavs and scav bosses, and other core mechanics like hipfire. It's literally impossible to lose any money doing this, so it just stacks up while you learn a lot. If you focus on a particular map it makes it much easier to properly PMC there when you're ready

For me it depends on what I do, how much money I have etc. for examole if your main goal is to finish a quest you dont really need the best gear but let say you have a quest to kill pmcs or pvp or so on you need to tun good gear, What I think about it is if you run a good loadout you have to run good gear with it and so on. As well as the better gear you have the lower the possibility that you die and so on
