Basically, Tarkov has 3 fundamentals.

1. Navigating the map and extracting.
2. Fighting.
3. Looting.
   If you are new the most important step is to learn 1, there is no point in trying focus on 2 or 3, if you can't do 1.
   Your goal should be to spawn and navigate to an extract. If you manage to do that you are already winning.
   To help with that you should open a map for the map you are running on your second monitor (or phone), best are interactive maps that you can find on the tarkov wiki.
   Just walking around the map will be already very deadly as pmc, but your goal is to play pmc as often as you can.
   So you should alternate between playing scav and pmc and use the scav gear on your pmc until you can do point 1.

I recomend playing woods or/and customs as your first maps. Woods is the easiest map in the entire game, the only thing about Woods is understanding were you spawned, if you mastered that, you are on a good way to master the map.
Customs is on the other hand is a lot easier to navigate but has more narrowing's on the map, making pvp more likely (as in on customs you will probably run into more other people)

Start playing a lot of factory and then get back to reserve and learn the rotations that people take on different stages on the map, were are they when they spawn, were do they go. Work out a routine, "what is the optimal way to clear building X", "what is the optimal way to peek into D2" and so on

and then don't just "play" stay focused while playing

like a +5 ergo pistol grip is bad, +11 or +12 is what you take for a budget build, but +x recoil and +x ergo on a grip then it changes again what is good or what is bad

just start modding weapons, honestly, even with a little investment guns can become a lot better already, and you will learn what is good and what is bad

its a mechanic in the game

you double tapped R for rapid reload (Drop mag instead of bag it)

it's for when people push you, and you just need bullets

make sure you get Normal Reload off R. And put it like CTRL R, and get used to just tapping R to drop the mag

That Mag drop has saved my life multiple times, But then again I run Extended mags.

basically scav waves spawn and do a connection issue in top right at specific times

since bosses spawn at the start of the raid they take up the scav wave spawn

meaning you wont get the connection issue icon that indicates scavs spawned in

used to be at 2min now it's at like 20ish sec

each map has it's own timer

so you gotta find it out yourself

bear in mind most maps have multiple bosses or boss spawn locations though, just cuz theyre not at one doesnt mean they didnt spawn.
or they chased a player away from their area, or they died and you cant find the body etc.
