the problem is probably not the speed, you can get in slow (what I do) or fast as other people do, its probably the route you are taking thats the problem

basically, anything under 4 is only going to help against scavs at this point in the wipe...you have to constantly be listening for footsteps....90% of fights are decided by who hears who first

My advise is, try to camp a bit outside like the first 10-15min, if your goal is only the quest and nothing else. Bring some Food and Water. And then play it slow. For that quest you want most people already dead and gone, since you have to travel a lot.

They made the quest harder this wipe. Have you already done the kill scav quest?

You need to do the kill scav quest, it is more important then the "walk to all stors quest". You should focus on killing scavs and, if you also manage to get to all stors thats just a bonus.

If you are a slower more methodical player, you should give night raids a try, they have a higher initial investment (since you should use nvg's) but they favor slower players more then the w-key pushers

So I kinda avoided them, I can give it a try

Basically, Tarkov has 3 fundamentals.

1. Navigating the map and extracting.
2. Fighting.
3. Looting.
   If you are new the most important step is to learn 1, there is no point in trying focus on 2 or 3, if you can't do 1.
   Your goal should be to spawn and navigate to an extract. If you manage to do that you are already winning.
   To help with that you should open a map for the map you are running on your second monitor (or phone), best are interactive maps that you can find on the tarkov wiki.
   Just walking around the map will be already very deadly as pmc, but your goal is to play pmc as often as you can.
   So you should alternate between playing scav and pmc and use the scav gear on your pmc until you can do point 1.

I recomend playing woods or/and customs as your first maps. Woods is the easiest map in the entire game, the only thing about Woods is understanding were you spawned, if you mastered that, you are on a good way to master the map.
Customs is on the other hand is a lot easier to navigate but has more narrowing's on the map, making pvp more likely (as in on customs you will probably run into more other people)

Sooner or later you will run into them, there is no full avoiding them, but they are the minority.
If you own the armor you should play it, there is zero reason to let it sit in your stash, if you always avoid running the "good" armor, you will just develop gear fear.

check the wiki based on ammo type and the gun youre using

if its way slower or way faster than the default for your gun its harder to use

pistol calibers, 366, shotguns, 9x39, 300 blackout and 12.7 mm for the ash 12 all suck

the specific ammo isnt too big of a difference most of the time, the caliber would make a difference

typically the AR calibers, 5.45 7.62x39, and 5.56 can usually do 1-200m pretty well.

DMR or sniper rifle calibers like 7.62x51 or 7.62x54r can go even further

like there are shot gun slugs that can hit 100 but as TarkovTea said, the zeroing is wonky since the velocities are very different
