scaving is like a waste of time early on imo, you dont get player xp for it, and roubles do not really matter much, you can easily get roubles if you need more. Plus the really long finding match times

you can basically run like 2 pmcs by the time you finally get into a scav and find something you may need and get out

To determine which side you are on kinda takes experience, but shtermans side is more open fields, and the newer side is more woodsy with rocks and stuff.
