shotguns, Kedr, pistols are good to train your aim, and i’d wear a press vest and some the russian ears

shotguns are fine, kedr CAN work but you wont improve too much. a good budget gun is the OP SKS from jaeger with PS rounds. even able to kill chads

pistols should only be used as last resort

From what I've seen on eft-ammo.com, all pistol ammos are kinda bad with the exception of 5.7 which seems mediocre. Best bet is to buy the knives from Fence to trade to Peacekeeper for the UMP and go with the best .45 ACP ammo you can get. The iron sights are pretty forgiving compared to an SKS or an AK.

IMO as a level 6.

UMP-45s (buy Knives at Fence and trade to Peacekeeper) with FMJ is the best option, but the most costly,

Mosin from Prapor with LPS is great if you like bolt actions,

KEDR-B with PSV or PPSH with LRNPC are both good for close-range high-damage guns you can spray legs or face with.

If you can find good 545 or 762x39 then those are also options.

If you want to guarantee profit, you can always enter the cycle of scavving and offline-PMCing/Practice Mode while your scav is on cooldown. Scavving can only make you money. Practice mode is great for learning maps, cache runs, and getting good at killing scavs and scav bosses, and other core mechanics like hip fire. This cycle is great to simply build up lots of money while learning

You can drag singular rounds onto the weapon even if mags are present

Something to keep in mind when you reload weapons with internal mags using loose ammo you open up the bolt and one bullet drops on the floor. It's why Mosins and SKS' always show all but one bullet loaded no matter how much you reload.

This does not apply when you have another weapon equipped in your hands and drag the ammo to the interal mag weapon, no ammo is lost there.
