Hey guys - lvl27, 25M rubles in stash, traders are mostly level capped, scavving game is strong but I'm still struggling with PMC and dying often in gunfights. First wipe and only playing casually (5-10 hours per week) - what do you recommend to get my gunfighting skills up and level my pmc faster?

Basically I need to play my PMC more to level up, but I'm weak on general combat skills.

Slinking around to finish quests seems like a terribly unenjoyable way to play the game

I had a weekly to extract 15 times on streets (for yellow keycard...) and it really pushed me to play PMC more and learn the safe ways to play and exfil, plus I levelled 4 levels in that attempt over a few days

felt like I should be doing a lot more of that, but at the rate I die in combat it feels like it is going to take eons to actually get good at it

I have enough money and gear to bankroll a solid week of losing streak but it's hard to practice when you get a few shots off and die

I pick up decent ammo from scavving streets

it’s something u kind of pick up on

Sniper skill is leveled by hits and actions , so just killing a scav with 1 shot is less effective than 5 shots.

You also have skill gain caps , so you can't just grind sniper skill for an hour straight

Tldr best way to level sniper skill is just run a mosin and hunt scavs reloading when ever you get some down time between locations
