The rule with mags is firm: If you can buy it again, unload and sell it. You can Right-click any mag and hit "Filter by Item" to check if you can purchase it again. If you can buy it, sell it. If not, keep it if you have a gun for it. You should get in the habit of choosing a gun to run, linked searching it, and buying mags for it right before going out on a raid.

Got another question what about the high tier weapons which I can not even buy ammo for? I do have enough to run it a few times but I'm wondering if I should just sell it since I don't have the corresponding armor level to really rock that kind of weapon and might not for a long while. That's entirely subjective, if you would rather put the money into several cheaper kits then do that, if you have the ammo for the gun and would like to give it a shot in a raid at some point just give it a little spot in the corner of your stash and come back to it later, but just don't get too caught up in the idea of the perfect raid, it won't happen, so don't let it just be a stash filler.

You don't* need the best armor to make it worth running either.

You can save the preset if you really like it enough and just build it again later when you have some more money.

AKMS is 7.62x39, usually higher recoil, AK74 is 5.45x39 which normally is easier to build lower recoil

7.62x39 is easier to pen with cheaper bullets tho iirc

5.45 needs BP/BT, while you can somewhat work with 7.62 PS ammo

Piercing armor "well" is a relative term I guess. For example it's obvious why you run good armor pen rounds with 7.62, because it shreds armor with even most budget-friendly ammo types.

The argument for running more expensive armor-piercing rounds on an SMG seems less clear to me than running high dmg flesh rounds and ignoring aiming for armor alltogether.

Do you actually end up with a faster TTK (time to kill) with armor piercing rounds on SMG, VS Flesh & Legs?

you have 7 hp bars, 5 of which if they hit zero won't kill you immediately

but continued damage to that hurt box spreads the damage to the remaining bars with a multiplier applied based on the particular hurtbox

so if you can hit them in the chest, penetrate their armor, and do 85 damage to upper torso

should i repair everything after raid or its more worth to get it damage abit and then repair?

if were talking about guns its probably better to let them loose a bit of durability before repair as every repair lowers max dura so its best not to do it all the time but as soon as your gun goes below 93 dura which is the threashold for malfunctions to happen then its worth it to not risk those. when it comes to armor repair as much as possible, even small amounts of armor hp makes a big difrence in penetration chance of bulets

yea, for weapons you can actually decrease your durability with repair if you do it after only fireing a couple bulets, ive many times went from 99.2/100 to 98/98 after repair which isnt a huge loss but can add up if you do it to often and the gun returns in insurance reguralry
