For barter items, because nobody but you knows where you're at in terms of quests or hideout, or what barters/crafts you're trying to save for, you have 2 options. It's otherwise impossible to know, without significant experience or asking other people every time, what you'll need anytime soon, or what sells for substantial money to other players.

Option 1) Set a particular goal - maybe two or three hideout upgrades you want and get your list of like 5-10 items together. Sell everything else. This is the most "to hell with inventory management" approach, and you'll certainly sell things that you'll need again or could have sold for more, but you'll spend much more of your time in-raid.

Option 2) Check everything using https://tarkov-market.com/ and the info it provides for quest/hideout/barter/crafting requirements and for flea prices. Then you can decide what things you'll need soon enough, and which items sell for enough, to hold onto. This is quicker in the long run and more profitable, but is tedious.

Hey, I'm pretty new to the game (>60h) and I've recently found out that there are Rogues on Lighthouse which you can kill to get some cool gear. I thought this would be a great way to get something else than a Mosin so I bought myself a VPO with a 4x scope and decided to go hunt them, unfortunately I got killed. I've now been trying to beat them in offline mode but I cannot figure out how to get to them. I've been recording my deaths and analysing what happend but I don't even see where I got shot from most of the time. The only safe distance I've found is beyond 350m but it gets pretty difficult to hit my shots at those ranges not to mention that there aren't that many good spots that are that far away.
Does anybody here have tips on how I can get myself some cool guns? (sorry for the long text)

Basically either learn from a youtube guide, or scav lighthouse and go there midway through raid, if u scav there they are often dead later in raid and like partially looted

@covert salmon rogues are very complicated to farm, and map it self is not for newer player, if you want to kill for good weapons... raiders on reserve would be easier option, but best thing is ofc to farm cash and then just buy guns from flea

Scales down the likelihood of surviving such an encounter having to drop it mid-fight.

i just did the quest, i just went in with helmet and sks and killed the scavs on military camp. pretty easy did it in 5 min
