oh, I trust you
Its because it has the most concentrated amount of high high value loot in the game if you have the keys and know the runs, all sorts of colored labs cards, GPU spawns, Bitcoin spawns, and ledx. Can easily make a mill a raid there if you do the run quick before otherpmcs
Is it hard nerfed?
Oh hell yea
Haven't run it this wipe yet
It got nerfed last wipe
It seems a bit better
But not nearly as good as it used to be
Yeah makes sense, I didn't play last wipe.
Got to level like 58 or 59 the wipe before and needed a mental break
Jesus and I thought 42 was enough. Then again I only played for the first half
Og shoreline used to give me a decent chance to walk out with multiple ledx's and gpus in the same raid
Now Im extremely lucky to find one of either of them
But I have gotten both red and blue card from it before
Ouch. And optho are cheap and common spawn now. btc are meh, and labs cards aren't sellable so are useless. Wow it has been hit hard huh.
Got 2 red cards out diff wipes but didint survive either.
If I find blue or red Im most likely gonna keep it, save btc for thicc weapons, and optho are a nice 70k boost
Unfortunately one was due to game crash
Damn. The one I found I sold for 100m lmao
Yeah I've never been able to sell one.
Buddy got the taiga last wipe too of resort cultists. I killed them all but bled to death for it and he walked off with my taiga lol 😅
It's just all the bad karma for me being the Tarkov Villain. So it serves me right tbh. All G
Unfortunate but not unreasonable lol
need some help with early customs quests
Is it worth selling aesa's early or keeping them? I forgot
I’m on the scout task and It says to locate all the extracts but med tent isn’t working I don’t have the key but a video said I didn’t need it
if anyone has a customs marked room key and would like to help me with a task on customs dooms, I would highly appreciate it. (dm me you can have everything in marked room i just need to put marker)
you do need it im pretty sure
Is there any place where specific foods spawn?
Jaeger's beginning quest is taking forever I literally haven't found a single iskra ration pack or large can of soup
woods cabins
the 3 cabins
was about to say that
there's like 3 cabins in the logging mill north of the lake
there's also the village and cabins south of the river
I will do unspeakable things to have someone open customs marked room for me.
I am sick of having this task
I'm not seeing it on map genie 😭
how do i split a stack of ammo
i mean 7.62 is a heavier round than 5.45 not as much range, but there is a ballistic page that gives you basic knowledge of damage/penetration of the rounds on the internet
or is that possible
Nevermind I see it
ctrl and drag
so I just choose based on which round seems/feel better?
thank you
well there is a damage/penetration output for the ammo but me personally getting hit with 7.62 hurts more than 5.45 but for 5.45 i would use bp or bs
7.62 BP which is harder to find than PS is a godsend slaps people but 7.62 will always hit harder than 5.45
Im very new to tarkov and Ive been doing offline missions in factory and still dying every other match should I just bit the bullet and go into a multiplayer match or should I go as a scav or keep on training offline
if you don't mind losing your stuff, go ahead tbh
just keep in mind online PMC runs on Factory is worse as it is offline
what would be a good first map to do beginner pmc runs on
Scav runs on Factory is more tolerable, because by the time you spawn in; most chads would have died/left; and you have mostly player scavs and scavs
I've been using Woods
mostly because there's lots of cover to hide behind, and you can always keep an ear out for other nearby PMCs
yeah I guess Ill train on offline woods and see what happens
your main opponent on woods is:
- Nearby PMC that spawned near you (in the first 10 minutes of spawning)
- the Map itself (getting lost, dying to mines/snipers)
- Scavs
in that order
ah ok
offline Woods can't train you for Online woods' first 10 minutes
if you spawn close a river, you're mostly safe; because you spawn further away from other PMCs
personally id keep playing offline but i would start in customs learn the spots that scavs will be in / looting spots on the map etc while getting the feel for combat
this
I hear people saying that too, but I I'm still learning Customs
again what kevin said offline cant prepare you for online raids but still practice is always good, i still to this day do offline raids just to get practice in on my shots regardless if they are just scavs
the big plus for Customs I can see is that there's the 2 factory chimneys you can use as landmarks fairly easily
customs is my main squeeze been playing that map since i got this game
does anyone's game jitter or buffer while playing?
im 5 total wipes but 4 official wipes (played from beginning to end of wipe)
practice is always welcomed in my area xD
also another thing is, is that I have the stock M4A1 and when I shoot it when the iron sights go up should I try to get the target into the iron sights or is it just visual
stock m4 is terrible
good to know
100%
😦
just pull down and pray
is that why I feel like I suck
but depending how far the target is , hipfire is beautiful
dont full auto more than like 10 feet if that
wherever your barrel is pointing is where you are going to shoot
if you dont have access to good attachments shotguns are way better imo or single fire rifles too
whats a good channel to find a duo that can help you teach the game
8/10 gunfights (10-30 meters) is won by hipfire for me
with the m4?
really any gun , hipfire in tarkov is nothing like other shooters.
where ever your barrel is aiming is where you are going to shoot
i practice hipfire alot on factory , once i go to customs i start plucking my targets from a distance to get the feel for long range fights
im looking for a duo or sherpa to help me learn the game, im down to play in an hour or so or even tomorrow, ive have tons of questions and wanna have fun in this game, ive watched videos, i have experience in other shooter games etc.. but again i need advice thank you. Please dm me if you wanna play/help thanks.
customs is offline raiding right?
i would start with that personally
you can offline on any map
ah ok
just click the box that says "ENABLE PRACTICE MODE"
ah ok one more question, what happens as a pmc, if all of my stash and characters guns and items are lost in online raids
you can do scav runs for money
then buy stuff for pmc
also to lose everything in your stash youd have to die like actually 30 raids in a row
it wont happen
ah ok thanks for all of your guys help
no problem if you need anything just msg me , i may be down to help you learn customs a little later on after i get off my quest
just be resource conscience, and don't run full gear every PMC run
run only a single gun, and make sure to bring a kevlar at least
don't bother wearing a helmet, if you don't have a chest-piece
7 times out of 10 you're gonna die to a chest wound in a gun fight
@hot plinth I probably cant today I only have like 30 minutes left then I gtg
especially to Buckshot scavs
yeah your right @vivid thunder
its all good just shoot me a msg any time , im usually on during the day on weekends and really anytime mon-wed , i work nightshift on the weekdends which is usually when most people are on xD
I've been repeating what I've heard and read from other veteran players
I hope I'm right too
😭
i mean yeah helmet with no armor is weird
ah ok sounds good @hot plinth
armor does a lot more
Is D2 still bugged?
ALSO don't throw away your half-masks; you can barter them for good stuff via ragman
or keep them for punisher lol
its annoying to find them on the spot
much better to stock up
Like it used to not open
Oh thanks
spent so long on that quest to find 2 half masks lol anytime you NEED something you will barely find it xD
real af
i love watching newbies sell their flash drives
knowing what will happen to them later
anyone wanna run it up im lvl 9 still trying to figure things out. just got the game 3 days ago
xD i had a guy ask me if he should have kept his ...i didnt answer just shook my head
LMAO
capslock
still works
this is my first wipe and i need somebody to help please lol. NA
L then shift+t
i had a pm pistol that jammed every single shot so i had to ask and then was panicking and just pushed random combos XD
does any beginners want to play
Average scav gun
pretty ok gun for a pmc that dies like flies
It's not making it any easier
dude i spent 300k on gear and got about 3k xp... any gun is good enough at that point
good gun? looks good for a scav run atleast
you care more about the scope there
than the gun
if you're lucky you'll have m80, vry noice
unlucky it'll be bcp, not vry noice
stock/buttpad, foregrip+handguard, and muzzle attachment
dustcover can have minor changes, but the most important thing there is it affects part compatibility
The best bang for your buck is a muzzle and buttpad
I don't have buttpad yet
Think this is the best I can do
buttpad got moved though so trickier overall to get a hold of
unless you swap the whole stock assembly or have a better foregrip, that's about it
I tested it out and its still pretty wack
that's AKs for you
Yeah
either get late game-ish progression for spray to be good, or enjoy tap fire and close range spray
Tap fire long range, hip fire close
yes
45 round I should be good
if you run rigs for it

but I think it's quest locked now
Looks so wack
30 what?
rounds
Didn't know that
30 rounds is standard usually, so after that anything else is considered extended
usually negative ergo, negative check speed and load speed, and increase malfunction chance
any tips on surviving loot runs as a PMC? I almost always get clapped, but the streamers I watch just walk around the map and no one shoots em
play slower i like to sit in choke points with cheap guns and make sure you hide for the best advantage
getting used to rotation speeds of people going through areas helps
Im new anyone wanna play?
idk wtf im doing 😂😂
the answer is yes
how new?
i just got the game like 5 min ago
oh god.
yeah 😂😂😂
oh, so you need orientation, I can do that 🤓
prepare for the worst game of ur life 😭
😭😭😭😭
its like bad if u dont know abt guns
give me a minute or two, sorting ammo then I'll be on
im lowkey hype bro ive been wanting a super challenging pvp pve games
well im in the middle w that
i played dayz thats like the only survival game ive played but i already know this nothing like dayz 😂
idk jack ahit
I can do a group call
shit
yessir
mpl 50 what should i do with it?
buying this game before doing any research on it is really ballsy ngl
I bought it because my friend told me to and now I have 50 deaths and 3 scav kills
YouTube a lifesaver
and you're level 9?
wouldn’t know how to shoot my gun without it
yes idk how
I was talking about Lifted earlier
but idk, 50 deaths explains te lvl 9 tbh
even if you're survival rate is like mine
that's a lot of raids you've been in
I've been in barely 30 and died in 26 of them
does scav xp actually do anything?
it contributes to your Scav stats
do i need to do something special for the car extract to spawn at streets? ive done nearly 40 raids looking for it and never seen in in the 28 ive made it to the car
how do i loot at those?
your Scav has its own sets of skills like your PMC, but you can't look at that out of raid
you can only check in-raid as a Scav
breh
yeah, they're working on adding the UI for it
does it reset ever?
no they dont...
it's random every raid
or can i make my scav the most leveled boi?
he was incorrect
you wanna level your scav reputation with Fence
at level 6, scav bosses will be friendly with you
what ammo do I put in my kedr at LL1?
Escape from Tarkov Ammo and Armor Charts created by NoFoodAfterMidnight 🙌
more damage the better, 9x18 is useless for penning ammo
aim for legs
Appreciated
no problem
do i need to do something special for the car extract to spawn at streets? ive done nearly 40 raids looking for it and never seen in in the 28 ive made it to the car
29 now
I was basing it off of:
https://www.reddit.com/r/EscapefromTarkov/comments/dksid2/what_is_the_point_of_scav_exp/
nope, someone just needs to not have taken it before you, that im aware of
im literally hatchet running to the car with a hot rod most of the times i make it within 2 mins of raid starting
why do you have to take it?
therapist quest
29 times is a waste of time
is that a daily/weekly?
cause if it is, fuck that
yeah well it wont fucking spawn i cannot help it
be nice if the higher your rep with fence, the better gear you start with, or random loot, i dunno, sounds like it'd invite for TK'ing
no
there is only 1 thing i hate with tarkov, that you dont have an built in map to check where you are at and where to go bc its a pain in the ass for a player who dont know the map 100%
I mean technically they exist
we dont disagree, bring up a map on your 2nd monitor, phone, or tablet
they are just really bad
hardcore doesnt mean good maps shouldnt exist
Maps in a special slot and able to be more mechanically viable to use.
we're just spoiled with Minimaps
back before mass adoption of internet in phones with GPS exist, the amount of tourists lost in tourist hotspots; I remember 🧓
Ik but its too many things for my small dumb brain to think about, woods: hunger water, players&scavs AND exits by name (without the map)
Its still like that out in Yellowstone where peoples phones dont work. Its funny watching them get lost everwhere lol
They could literally get lost on a straight road
Interchange is probably the easiest map to remember
as long as you don't go inside the mall, there's decent action and loot outside of it
game might not be for you then...
no offense, just honesty
Nah customs or lighthouse for sure are wayyyy easier
If any new people wanna play I'm down to play with you.
yeah i think you are right but i aint a quiter so im still gonna do the grind
Customs is the easiest map to memorize imo
Heyyyy I play a harpy in D&D!
customs is 2nd easiest for me, mostly because I get lost among the buildings 😩
it takes times, but you might come out learning quite a bit, i wish you good luck!
Lol Nice!
"It takes time"
3.9k hours
😱
if i go into a offline raid do i have to think of food/water? im thinking of taking a hour or to just run around woods to memorize the map a bit
you should, just in case
it wont hurt
since youre not going to really be looting anyways
Pretty certain you can turn off exhaustion/dehydration in offline settings
oh right, you can turn that off nowadays
forgot about that recently added feature
will prob do that when im back home, have school in 40 ish
New here. Anyone team up and help me out?
what ball licking do I need to get salewas
Woods is solid
nope
woods camp is your best bet i would say
cant even find yaeger lol
no very complicated
like even if the bullet hits the armor you take dmg?
and by dmg i mean mitigated dmg
diffrent materials means diffrent durability/how many shots its gonna save you from adn also weight
i keep dying every raid wut should I do :(
rat
so when it saves me from a shot, do i not take any dmg?
it can stop it competely or just absorb some of the dmg
oh damn
best rat method?
better than i thought
but then you also gotta look at levels of the armor and best bet is in my opinion to keep away from ceramic material armor since they break easily and only save s you from a bullet or two, (pls correct me if im wrong) and also weigh alot
yes
go as scav in factory or some other place with alot of drawers
Honestly you have better chances finding keys in those drawers then HDDs
i am thinking T3 or higher is good to use. also the PACA one sold by ragman for early lvs. is this right?
thats all i've found
need it for quest or hideout?
quest
shotgun
gunsmith 1
I have everything but the damn handguard
you have to be shitting me
oh yeah, then just go in as a scav and hope for the muzzle brake bc thats what youj need it for isnt? and if you dont just go around and loot all places possible for the hdd
HE CAN'T KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH THIS
nah I have the muzzle brake
Anyone know what the hidden prerequisites are to unlock the Gunsmith Part 20 quest? I did GS Part 19 4 days ago and I am level 36, can't get it to appear.
this thing
oh yeah, then you only got like 1 way to get it and its the hdd
Loading into a game currently at 9mins is this normal?
scav or pmc
no, restart the search usually a game should take about 3 minutes
It says loading loot 93%
then let it be
What are your specs?
There was a bug with certain motherboards for AMD processors that resulted in extremely long loading loot times.
I’m running a Nitro gtx 1050
Also low spec machines can cause you to load loot for ages.
8gb ram then, I bet?
You aren't going to be able to load into matches quickly with that, if so.
bro got ancient tech 😭
I think let me double check
tarkov is incredibly unoptimized
Yeah
It's written in spaghetti code by underpaid developers from an indie studio that have had over 300mil in revenues but never fixed their initial code
It’s 16g of ram
fuck this I'll go finish the last stirrup kill
my guy im running amd rx 580. XD
LMAO
I still bet it's your system
yawn
I yawn to your yawn
Weird
I’ll do some setting modifications and see if that helps
I’m having stuttering in the sound while loading is that normal as well or my shit gonna be laggy?
it's gonna be laggy most probably
Yay lol
turn of 'binaural sound' if you havent already
I will
you have to restart for it to take effect
you a tech fan? im about to have the newest set motherboard with ddr5 memory slots so my gpu bout to be a bottlenecks bottleneck lmao
"we fixed the audio"
-bsg
it's a single-fire weapon, so recoil is a useless stat
but your ergo is low af too though
same way you decrease recoil... mods
damn they got ddr5 already?
my mobo has ddr4 slots I believe
yeah november
They fixed it like they fixed the netcode and load times and have fixed them several times over the past 2 years
Meanwhile Korean devs on Unreal 5 made Dark and Darker load instantly with second long match time.
look private
is there a way to buy scoped sniper or some kind at lv4?
i use mp133 and its frustrating to deal with sniper scavs in shoreline
Is there a way to tell if someone is looking at there inventory? i just kiilled a guy who i thought was exfil camping but was actually just sorting his stuff, can i avoid this?
can anyone help with introduction quest, I cant hand mechanic the letter. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or this is a bug in the UI
go directly to his quest tab
there should be a button named "hand over"
you click that
is that not the quest tab?
no go to the place where you accpeted the mission
that worked thanks!
looking through this, I can see now; why Mosin is a viable option
Can someone tell me how to unlock ragman quests?
gotta get higher lvl first
look up quests on the wiki and it'll tell you the requirements for any
it's still like 50k a piece
that's the profit of like 1 scav run 😭
(if I don't get good loot, and just sell off bits and pieces I find)
almost all my quests rn need fucking keys
what's the play here guys
do I keep scavving till I get the keys
gunsmith part 1 does not need a key
everything but gunsmith
hence almost
acquaintance does not need a key
but I can't find a fucking hdd
also true but that's a find items quest
go interchange, search pcs and goshan food
you can get hdds and items for acquaintance
scav or pmc?
either or
both work
Scav items, count towards "found in raid" luckily
yeah
if i inspect stuff in raid as a scav, do i get the xp?
oh I guess ask for help, to see if someone has a key that can open the place for you
or should i leave stuff uninspected if i can
and if you ever actually get key locked just farm jackets, customs dorms has a ton of jackets all in one place
well, examine
it doesn't really matter
you get very little xp from it
its such a small amount of xp
why can't i turn this in for gunsmith1?
i can use everything i can
it wont matter to u past level 2
dunno what those means 😦
yea
yeah, players can't loot from that slot
as long as it's in the special slot; you're good
they cant loot your secure container (obviously) or your melee slot
found some crazy ass helm sells for over 100k
what's the helmet damn
Ronin
that's like 2 scav run-profit for me
it's cool looking, but strangely not very good
what's stopping you?
yea seen its a light armor
for 100k fuck it lol
refuse to get rid of my michael myers mask tho lol
if u get 50k on a scav run ur doing something extremely wrong
it takes me 3 scav runs or more to scrounge up enough gear to go on a single PMC run
and there's a 80% chance I die on said PMC run (I mostly do PMC runs on woods, because I'm most confident in that map atm)
i find customs to be most comfortable atm
the sniper scavs worry me
streets best map
30fps gaming
for scavs too
i mean 30fps is scavable
idk, I've been rolling crap durability on my starter weapon; so I can't sell that other than the mods
and the armor/rig/backpack I get I use for my PMC
I usually sell off the bits and pieces I have (non essential barter items)
I've been learning to deal with scavs
it's other PMCs I worry now, other than just running away from gunshots
sad but i been jsut going in with ak74u and the little 4k backpack
getting whatever i can then getting out
80 fps gaming
god 5.45 is the most miserable ammo type to have to use
it’s great on paper but something is always amiss when you try to use it
sag ak with bs is where its at
i can trade mp5 or an ump with knives i got
which one should i get
FMJ?
alr ty
damn i got a lot of knives
except the ER bayonets
u dont really find many bayonets, nor do u need them
Do quests and kill scavs
i see people already lv20+
You need them for UMP and MP5 barter now
quests I'm 34 atm
Yes sir
Anyone know any settings to help with the stuttering?
does anyone know how to fix error code 522?
o shit oops
how do i fix this
ask nikita
#community-support might be able to help
do raiders count to scav kills to quests?
how do you even complete gunsmith part 1
im following a guide from a wiki
but the parts are not even sold by traders
I think you need level two on most of the traders to have access to the parts
You find them in raid or you wait for lvl 15 and buy them off flea market
You just need level 2 Jaeger for the gk-02 muzzle break, everything else you can get at ll1. It also often spawns on scavs if you want to farm it
you wait till they fix EU servers, like everyone else
Hey! so in the choice between skier and therapist for the secure folder 0052, who should i give it to? Is there any real downside to just taking all the money skier gives you?
anyone got peacekeeper lvl 4 ? i need the Ferfrans CRD 5.56x45 Concussion Reduction Device for gunsmith task and there is non on flea
Then just refresh and hope somebody lists one
will i get tagged and cursed if i bring a pistol and a rig?
Not sure but i think you will
smh my head
how good is the rsass?
Define good
is it better than the stuff i can buy and use at lvl 7 with rep 1 with all traders lmao
Well yes its a high end/ later wipe weapon that melts with 2-3 body shots, but using it for you is difficult since you dont have the ammo for it at such a low lvl
Shortly: Keep it in your stash its a good gun
alright thanks
And its needed for a gunsmith
oh than its really nice i found one so early
If you take pistol grip and mag out it will be smaller in your stash
that is helpfull thanks, ive been running low recently
No
RSASS best gun in the game late-wipe (to run frequently) imo, before the ammo change for sure
Lmao you're smoking something strong if you dont think its the rd704
One of the best*
Best DMR for sure
lf for someone to teach me the game as im new to it can also vc EU
are silencers op in this game?
Not OP but very good.
i think someone shot me close but i coudln't hear the shot sound at all
They're expensive but they are worth it for sure.
like
Yes because they have benefits that conpensators/flash hiders dont have
You really think they are 'OP'.
Compared to other options yeah
You invest 70k early game into a suppressor I don't think that's OP.
True, it's very good don't get me wrong but I don't think they are 'OP'.
All meta weapons are suppressod for a reason
There are exceptions ofc but only for niche scenarios
There's a large difference between "best in slot" and "overpowered"
Suppressors are often best in slot, but few would suggest they're overpowered
my bad... i didn't make my self clear enough
I run silencer coz dude, if I hear a fuckin mutant I rush there asap
i was kinda exaggerating cause i just died to silencers
but yeah they seem to be really good
Exactly. it has much more utility than just recoil
IMO saying something is overpowered implies that it should be nerfed - which I don't think is the case
They are probably gonna nerf suppressors because it doesnt hurt enough in cqc
Why would it hurt to have suppressors in cqc
I agree with this.
Think about using a gun that is super long in dorms, image clearing doorways
'Super long', aren't they like 15 CM max?
There are some that are longer than others
The downside of suppressors isn't the length or ergo hit, but the price. If they were to cost the same as muzzle breaks, they'd be OP. In the current game state, they're proportionally more expensive based on what they can do
I understand ur point, but I don't think it's that big of a deal
umm btw should i not go to shoreline resorts when im running pmc
Yeah i mean the price is still worth it though because of less muzzle flash, being quiet and usually having more recoil control
And with traders they are only like 80k max
Tbh u should go everywhere without being scared of the place, including labs, dorms, fortress, bunker, sawmill etc.
Can someone please help me understand this
And how this guy bullet sponged two of my mags but killed me in 3 hits
anyone has peacekeeper lvl 4 ? i need help with a part
Because 9mm sucks
...
I'm very confused what your point is. You were claiming suppressors were OP, but now you're saying that the price makes them worth it...?
Yes, 9mm can't pen shit
The trade off for the price is still too low is what i mean
mann
Im not happy about that
shot 40 bullets at him total it takes him 3 to kill me
Maybe its just how the game handles recoil as a whole, making suppressors reduce it normally much more than muzzle brakes
I mean, you missed quite a lot of your shots. Hipfiring close range helps a lot, and aiming at the armor with a low caliber gun is a bad idea
Despite how many I missed, quite a few hit. His blood was literally all over the wall
Sure, but 2 hits to each arm plus a few to the armor - that's not going to work
It may look like you did loads because blood but if he has anything over t3 it probably wont do more than 5 damage a shot to his chest
You've either got to commit to legs or the head with low caliber weapons
Yup, shooting non ap 9x19 against any sort of armor feels like using a bb gun, thats why its used mostly in very high firerate guns to overwhealm. The saiga 9 is semi auto which works against this. His gun shoots bulets that do actualy good against other players in semi auto it seems
rip
what can I use that will actually not feel like a toy gun then
I cant use anything more than like 30k roubles a run i cant afford that
Im just trying to run in and do quests
It's not what you use it's how you use it. Shotguns are great but they have the same problem, great for damage but terrible for penetration so you have to use them right. The saiga-9 you're using is a great head-tapper, but you have to use it that way. Mosin is the same, SKS has a bit more penetration and actually great pen if you can find PS ammo on a scav.
The Kedr and MP5 are much better full-auto head/leg sprayers
so like
that are cheap
Literally everything I named is very cheap
Stack knifes for mp5s
and with what ammo
Figure out if you want to have damage or penetration based ammo, linked search your gun, and use an ammo chart like this one to figure out the best choice
Escape from Tarkov Ammo and Armor Charts created by NoFoodAfterMidnight 🙌
Anyone else experiencing bug with The Huntsman Path - Administrator? 2 times I have fired the flare there and the quest didnt count.. any suggestions?
kedr is pretty cheap
Its covering 2/3 of his body and im new to this aiming system, that's easier said than done
but i just can't seem to figure out its recoil pattern
is kedr better with hipfire?
100%
i seem to do terrible with scoped on
Hipfire is HUGE in this game
When is it right to hipfire??
i still don't fully understand why go for hipfire
Same accuracy, less recoil
when you do enough damage to legs it "blacks" out the limb and they can't run
Lack of mobility leads to panic, panic leads to easier follow up shots
I dont care about the hate or flack im gonna get for saying this, I come from cod
isn't scoped better since you are shooting at what you are aiming
Hipfire in this game has a really good accuracy.. if there is target at like sub 10 meters, you should always 100% hipfire
well not even bad just hipfire = wild spread
It's super hard to break the habit, but hipfire in this game is nutty good. I still run offline factory raids just to warmup and practice hipfiring, it's extremely useful
Easily the biggest improvement in PvP comes when you start to utilize hipfire
Easily
hmm maybe i should tape a central aim indicator onto my monitor or smthing xd
It doesn't work like that
it doesn't?
No, bullets don't always go to middle of screen like in COD, they come out the barrel
aw shite
spend, like, a day or two with CHEAP cheap ammo and spray and pray guns and don't even ads
unbind it even
and go fight scavs
whats "ads"?
rightclick
aim down sight
ads- aim down sights
oh ok
is ads good with everything? Like in which situations should I use it over aiming
Anyone else experiencing bug with The Huntsman Path - Administrator quest? 2 times I have fired the flare there and the quest didnt count.. any suggestions?
if you dont have time to preaim and the target is sub 15ish meters away
Anytime you're using full-auto under 20 meters you should hipfire
hipfire within 10-15 meters aim when you have time or the distance is too great
Meters does not mean a single thing to me
or ads rather
I dont know a meter from a mile in this game
What unit of measurement would you like lmao?
the distance from the door of your hideout, to the wall by heating is roughly hipfire distance
depending on the gun
Just go practice it in offline mode and you'll get the hang of it quick. It's seriously invaluable
best way to improve at anything is to recognize an issue you're having, clearly define it, and go specifically out of your way to work on it or fix it
ads too much, unbind it and practice hipfire
having trouble with headshots? nothing but bolties for a day or two. and so on
I have trouble with managing stress
any lv5 weapon recommendation for hipfire applications?
Big time
Kedr and PPSH are great
oh i do too irl but im talking about tarkov
kedr with the silencers on?
I mean that's better but also pricier, either works
also for ppsh, do i also have to go for legs
Or head
im having a hard time going for the legs cause im too used to body shots
guess ill have to practice more
Nothing you can do about that except build experience and confidence through practice - or play in a team, has a great way of alleviating anxiety'
Oh also, can anyone tell me what shotgun it is that blacks out your stomach and leg in one shot and puts every other limb on red, then kills you in the next pls and ty
and what ammo
Probably magnum buck, that high-damage ammo you were hating on
do some runs where you care jack shit about if you live
I have nothing, every run matters to me
I had armor on that protects stomach
Why didnt it stop it?
then do scav runs or pistol runs with makarovs
At least from getting my stomach blacked out in one shot??
you got magnum-bucked probably
He shot your leg mostly, which blacked and did a lot of overdamage to the rest of you. Some pellets also hit stomach which blacked it. Second shot did enough overdamage to kill you
mmm
so in short, he shot your legs reeeeallly hard
The stomach blacking on the first shot was an accident, he was aiming for them knees
The amount of people I hear coughing as im falling is infuriating
if you get your armor back from insurance, there's even a chance it may be undamaged
Means you're getting close, just have to improve your strategy a little to finish them off
Youre damaged enough to cough but can still run at me and aim steadily, meanwhile I get shot once and my character shakes like he has parkinsons and I walk like im in tar
When they push me idk what to do
Peakers have a massive advantage, both psychologically and with the desync in this game. Don't get pushed, push. If you are getting pushed, try to prefire at head level
be unpredictable, and if you can flank
My problems a lot is I dont know whether what im hearing is a scav or a pmc
This especially is a problem in scav runs
Yeah thats not my problem, i mean when im in a building and another player scav is coming up
vs a pmc
until proven otherwise, if they're pushing you aggressively, pmc
I dont wanna voiceline to see if its another scav because if its not then i just gave the pmc my location
There's a basic ettiquete as a scav, if you voiceline - other player scavs should voiceline back. If it's PMC, he likely already knows your there, and ratting is a bad move. You should push or reposition
If im in a building and i hear movement i freeze
yeah experience is really all that will help there, scavs are being alot more unpredictable.. if you're doing a scav run and worried about rep best thing is just shoot no body, obviously can shoot back if you get hit.. if not just die and go again next time
Freezing is a bad call. Always move.
I dont want them to hear me
Well then get used to getting pushed
I tend to just lock myself in a room and let them push me
unless you're simply listening for a millisecond, standing still is rarely the best move
chances are they will have already heard you inside before they entered
everything makes noise in this game
obv depending on size of building but 9/10 they will of heard you
even breathing
How effective is crouch walking at min speed?
Not at all
turning quickly, aiming down sights etc too
not enough unless on grass
So is there no real way to hide footsteps in a building?
No
Never freeze permanently. Either push or reposition/retreat
ok that might help to know because the moment I hear any movement I freeze then if I move I crouch away at min speed to make "no" noise
as a rat, unless you're ALREADY in a hiding spot and you can guarantee they didn't hear you (which as a new player is hard to guarantee) running is better than hiding
same as in a fight, never repeak angles, always move and be unsuspecting
What if I want to take the fight though
Is it better to just run to a position rather than stealth there?
Reposition, reposition, reposition. Use peakers advantage, hipfire, play like a guerilla
Yes, big wide flanks are super effective. You move fast but you're often out of range of their hearing
and always try for the right hand peaks
Specifically dorms right now but thats just because im doing golden zippo
Peakers advantage, hipfire, right-hand peek, flashlights
But I often hit dorms so that would be good to know
running away when you know you're outmatched
if you're trying to do task, would only go dorms straight away if you get one of the two closest spawns so you can get there first.. if not go about do some looting and hit it later, unless you're ready for the PVP
which could be either skill, or gear
Never overcommit. When it doubt, retreat. You can always reposition for an ambush later
had this fight on dorms where a guy shot me in the stomach had to jump out the window and hide in the bushes
managed to extract
Alright
surviving a raid is the victory more often than not, NOT killing the other guy down the hall
I cant afford to bring in body armor every round but its killing me
full send or coward
I can hardly afford a gun or a rig
what armor were you bringing
I'll take coward. This game very spooky
paca?
The only thing I can afford
scav
do a scav, use that gear to go in, play for loot etc
Paca and the steel helm
tasks can be done any time
ssh is pretty bad
i'd say you can skip on the helm
scav fighting gear, not pmc fighting gear
my tip? buy a backpack rig and paca and the gun you can spend less on it and pick up everything you see
get the lv3 rig from ragman, stop running pacas no armor is fine if you run out, also no helmet is fine until you get flea or toilet lv2
and try to develop kind of a survival instinct almost like you're the character
ssh is pretty bad
what do you keep dying to
everything
7 million stash value and you have no mooney?
identify what keeps killing you otherwise you won’t improve much
All my stash value is in hideout items
ye i know
gear just gives you more room for error but it can’t save you if all you do is errors
do you keep running at gunshots and trying to pvp all the time
No
that might be your issue, that and being too noisy
I try to just go where Im going to loot then I extract
But I see a pmc every single game
And if i dont I get one shot by scavs
them not seeing you is the trick
yea dont shoot at people you see especially if they have better gear
whenever you shoot change position
do what other people aren’t doing, be where others aren’t going
So do i just suck my thumb first 10 mins of the game while they do their thing?
I dont really know how to not get seen, I take the edges of the map i go through grass and bushes and i get sniped in the head
nah just dont rush
no because 10 minutes pscavs start coming
I dont know what other people aren't doing
one of the best things you can do is learn the maps
isn't relevant if you're in woods
whats a good way to make rubbles
learn what places have the most amount of people going through
I run customs mostly, I spawn and there's fuck all around me 99% of the time
go offline if needed and just go round familiarising yourself with all of it
and avoid those places
edges are bad because you have nowhere to fall back when you get seen, bushes can’t hide you from a perched sniper, you need to run erratically
how often are you holding the sprint key?
customs is a hard map to extract because its impossible to avoid players
Whenever i'm invetween areas
or very hard atleast
it varies, scav runs and stash runs mostly
Plan a route. Stick to it. Note where it fails. If it fails in the same spot 3 times in close succession, change the fail-point. This is a great way to systematically build yourself a route and stay on track. Helps keep motivated too
ok thanks
sprint in the open, and whenever you aren’t sprinting play a game of Where’s The Sniper where you are constantly paranoid of sightlines and imagine someone is trying to headshot you right now so you move in a irregular zig-zag and keep scanning horizon trying to spot anything that moves
Be very careful sprinting. It's like 10x louder than the fastest walking speed. It gets so many people killed
sometimes the sound you make is a bigger tip off than seeing you, just cus you're in the open doesn't mean you've been spotted (sometimes)
get a backpack and a rig and pick up everything you see
guaranteed to make you atleast some money especially if you dont know the value of items
what should i run
while avoiding encounters like the plague
the map you traverse the best
as long as you wear ears and stop when you hear something the other guy doesn’t seem to notice
the key word is CHEAP
People are just infinitely better than me at pvp rn and I run into at least one person a game so that doesnt mix well
Over 100 pmc raids ive killed 14 people I guarantee maybe 7 of them were firing back
i got a tip use guns on semi auto
If you're getting into a lot of unexpected contact, that's just a sign you're moving too fast and you have bad positioning. You should be able to listen to where the activity is and move around it
get a duo mate who's more practiced at whatever map you're working on, even for like a handful of matches
You'd be surprised how much they'll teach you about pacing and placement
And whats frustrating is I'm good at shooters. Ive played shooters all my life, always performed very well. I have aim, I have general game sense that can apply to any game. Ive even played stuff slightly closer to tarkov's style like insurgency and stuff like that but Im just not doing well in tarkov at all. I get that it's different, I get the health system is unique and it takes getting used to
But 130 something hours and ive killed 14 pmcs on my pmc character
I dont know what it is, I die seemingly no matter what Im using, where I am, what they have
shadowplay
then record yourself and figure it out
post your deaths so we can laugh at u
way easier to improve when you know what you're shit at
One of the biggest mistakes you can possibly make is not learning everything you can from each death
Recording really helps analyze after the fact
I really want to fresh start on the 18th
Play with someone who is decently experienced at the game
Good stuff
damn bro ur close to lv15
It's so easy to make money. You can always guarantee profit by entering the cycle of scavving and offline-PMCing while your scav is on cooldown. Scavving can only make you money, you can't lose anything. Offline is great for learning maps, cache runs, and getting good at killing scavs and scav bosses. Do it for a day, get rich and your online PMC runs are way easier
ive heard that game gets x2 more fun after unlocking flea
Right now im not having fun in this game in like
a fun way
Im having fun in a masochistic and spiteful way
I want to be good at it so bad that I dont give a fuck how mad I am, It's not possible for me to get discouraged
Thats when the real fun begins yea
Which leads me to what you were all saying about play with someone
I have two things about that
None of my friends have that spirit and get discouraged and quit after dying two raids in a row
just make sure you temper and super crazy emptions before a raid
theres a looking for group section in this discord
And second I really dont wanna get carried, that will make me not wanna play the game
there's an lfg here yeah
find new people to play with
Getting carried is so boring to me
Learning with other new players is really fun
specifically ask for new people to play with
play with whoever you want, if you don't want to be taught no problem
experienced players, and juiced players are very different things
learning isnt the same as being carried
I do want to be taught just not carried
I played with people from the discord and yeah I exfilled with stuff but I didnt fire a bullet
It was so boring
I'd call myself experienced, I know a LOT of shit. but I'm lvl 5 this wipe cus I've been away
then just record yourself suffer and understand why you're dyin
you follow me?
especially if you bring it here
I know what you mean
legit, some of the best raids don't require a firearm when done perfectly
I just dont want to turn myself off of the game, and getting my hand held through it will make me hate it
im on my 5th wipe and still sometimes (get carried in a way) it happens, as long as you focus on your goals for example map knowledge positioning etc it doesnt matter if you didnt fire a shit
shot*
Ask for other new players (because just playing with a duo is super fun), or ask for someone who will teach but not carry
Ill give it a shot
Learning isn't getting your hand held
Thats not what im saying
also asking for a map guiding tour from a rat is an experience
Im saying anyone ive tried to play with doesn't know the difference
They think they're teaching while they're holding your hand
As someone who teaches tarkov a lot, it is a very fine line. A lot of lessons in this game come from dying, and letting new players die to learn properly doesn't feel right. But if you prevent it too much, you're carrying them. It's not easy, which is why I think the best way to learn is with someone of your experience level. It's the most fun and rewarding
Like I dont want to be told what to do. I want to be told how to figure out what to do for myself you know?
I dont want someone to just tell me "use this gun this armor this bullet" every time, I want someone who can help me reach a point where i can answer that for myself.
Tell me why the thing is better than the other, etc
Nobody has done that
So far at least
LF Group to help out a newer player
I mean that ive played with btw not you all
Feel free to shoot me a DM if you'd like, or visit #sherpa-info or #pvp-lfg and just describe what you're looking for
On lighthouse didnt they put landmines on the mountains outside rogue base?
yes,claymores
I am absolutely fine with dying
Lookin for sane tape :3
Except when I feel like i got fucked over
I dont blame cheats, I dont call hacks, im not that kind of person. If I die I die, I dont care, but Ill get frustrated at stuff like the first clip i sent
Hard as a teacher to save you from the deaths that you feel are "fucking you over" without carrying, a lot of those deaths are just lessons yet to be learned
Do you know exactly where the mines are? Since I just watched Landmarks video and he avoided them all
That's a good point
No clue but theres alot of em
Maybe Im being unrealistic in the way I want to be taught idk but Id think theres gotta be someone else who's wanted to learn like this too
:( Im a bear so I want to find a easy route if there is to kill the rogues
When i duo with my low lvl friend i make the call where we gonna go loot and i let him take the lead what route we take so he can practice moving around the map and killing scavs on his own
you can just watch out from them, just gotta look carefully, dont sprint much aswell
just take a farming route same usec bear no difference
But honestly even having someone there to tell me that it wasnt a dumb death and just something i did wrong it would be for me just an "Ah, okay I see" and onto the next game yk?
As a bear they kill me from like 500m away
Learning Tarkov is a messy process filled with frustration and bullshit. For everyone. But there is certainly lots of people wanting what you are, it is just a tad overly optimistic to think you could find a perfect teacher.
You cant get close as a bear
Yea, that's a great goal
exact same for usecs who farm them
take a farming route there’s tons if you search for it
I dont want a gigachad doming pmcs and scavs from across the map and who has every loose loot spawn memorized in every area of every map
I wanna be that gigachad
Nah but fr like yuh ill give the sherpa or lfg a shot
I'm happy to help as well if you ever want to shoot me a ping for a raid or have a question :)
I'm 2 of those, I'm the one who knows every loose spawn, on most maps and doming scavs
For sure
Oh wait you're a sherpa thats why you're green
huh would you look at that
I will definitely message

Just scavs not pmcs? 🤔
He's green ta da Dee da da da
Pmcs are 50/50 I've got 50 pmc kills in 103 raids out of 250 kills
Thats not bad at all
Could be better ig
ok last thing before i get up rq, what should I do right now? This is to anyone whos been in the conversation for a minute and listened to all my bitching about being bad and poor lol. I am close to level 15 and want level 2 traders and flea, but I have next to no gear. I wanna pmc and do quests for quick exp and i feel like scaving is wasting that time but also, scaving would help get gear so im not sure
In fact thats a dilemma i have very often
Tf is rq
I wanna quest but I have nothing
real quick?
And i feel like scav is wasting my quest time
scav to get gear/money
i mean you have to do one to do the other
its not a waste of time as you can learn map/some extracts at same time
so its not a waste
should i keep my magazine well on my gun
You likely have some tasks you could make progress on as a scav - gas analyzers or flashdrives, etc. So that's the best choice
ok
Alright
build up like 3-500k which is doable in 1-3 runs
After my 2550 hours of playing, I would say try to memorise as many good places to loot, stashes etc. To loot and do as many quests possible
I never get anything of value in my raids
Gas analysers 😵💫
gotta go to different spots
I make usually less than the cost of the gear I went in with
i had no idea condensed milk sold for like 20k 💀
why does milk cost the same as a gun
look on youtube for spots on different maps
Learning caches on any map, which is totally possible as a scav, is the best investment you could ever make. If you know a map well enough that you know the stashes on that map, you'll never go poor. The few billionaires I know in tarkov are all stash rats
That's wierd, coz I can get 300-400k in average if I survive
reserve, lighthouse, customs and interchange best for scav runs
Is that selling literally everything you get or with keeping quest/hideout items?
completely agree, yes its not the most fun thing in the world but when you then get out, sell everything and find out you made nearly a mill is a great feeling
Yea I'm keeping good stuff and stuff I need
I don’t get how then
U EU
It is boring, but it's a great foundation to have to know that if things ever get bad you can make loads of money easily
300-400k is on the very high end, don't compare yourself to that, people really oversell their scav runs. Just try to do better than your own previous runs
Sad, I would happily help u in few hours but I don't want to play on 100+ ping
