extremely low chance that they aggro you, scavs aggro range is pretty short. you xan easily just lay prone and snipe to your hearts content
the harder part is that when you do that you will bring players to your location, as sniping players from on top of rocks is pretty common on woods

When you're ready - try to scav into one of those maps and actually get some loot out.
Then you can take your PMC in and try to do some quests or loot or simply survive.
