Customs is known for chokepoints, try to design yourself a route. Stick to it, if it fails 3 times in a row, change it. This makes the approach to learning the player traffic a little more systematic and less annoying

As a PMC what I normally do is ambush them or talk to them over VOIP through a wall (this has to be a player scav) I make them lower there weapon and reward them with a bit of loot for cooperating.

It helps I have a squad normally, so we have over whelming firepower, but it's not required.

What is very important is - this is not a negotiation, if they don't want to lower there weapon they die

The ambush being 'dont turn around I am not going to kill you, but lower your weapon.

So Ducky, on the lighthouse map, there is a faction of Ai scav enemies called rogues, and they are supposed to be like ex usec soldiers in the lore. So if you’re usec, they won’t shoot you on sight unless you get too close to their camp, if you’re bear they shoot on sight. Not a huge deal but a slight advantage.

You’re not gonna likely find much in the way of “high tier”, but you can find some decent guns. You can also barter for some decent guns w level one traders if you search for the barter items you need. Remember, the ammo you use is wayyyy more important in tarkov than the gun. If you want I can suggest some good early weapons and ammo to use.

From what it seems when shooting - low fps bug is mainly for AMD users. It seems to fix by completely reinstalling drivers thru DDU. NVIDIA drivers for some reason interfering with AMD drivers when playing the game or it could be because of old drivers that still remain.

Interchange is good for hideout items in general. It’s also nice because, well, it’s a shopping mall, so the loot is almost organized for you. Olli is like a hardware store sort of, so checking that is a good idea for hideout parts, especially the toolboxes and shelves in the back warehouse. Goshan shelves can be good too. Avoid/be very careful traveling through the main mall area, the big stores tend to be a bit safer.

In my experience scaving interchange and looting olli/goshan/idea is super safe and can be a good source of loot if it hasn’t been picked apart too much. You can also loot all the pc blocks in olli offices, might get lucky with a graphics card

Scav is really good to make mistakes with.

You don't lose as much as you would with your PMC.

An important factor of which being: time. It takes a lot more things and time to get your PMC back into action compared to your scav.

Throw out more successful scav runs than PMC runs and it's a whole lot better overall.

Definitely recommend scaving it and familiarizing yourself with the map, approaching from the back and looting the warehouses and big stores is pretty safe. Be careful for people camping emercom extract. And use your ears in the mall!! Goshan also has tons of food if you need food for yourself or quest

Yes, there are tons of videos out there but I also recommend just using mapgenie to plan your route a bit and get ideas of what spawns where, and what you need. Like I said, interchange is nice because the stores almost sort the loot for you. Are you just looking to make money? Or do you need quest items? Food?
