Offline raids (so nothing you lose is actually lost). Learn the maps (use mapgenie app for tarkov) in offline. You can change the AI difficulty and spawn amounts so you can get used to the ballistics of weapons (bullet drop namely) - and use controls. You can even just disable the AI so it's you and the map. That is what I would recommend (only had the game for two days).
There are A LOT of helpful people in this channel (and #beginners-chat ) that are quick to give advice and input. I've not "raided" with anyone yet, only solo - but I'm sure there is usefulness in both of those things - however having "a buddy" who is lethal could make things a bit less stressful I'm sure. Just stick with it, for me the first 24-36 hours, all I wanted to do was uninstall it and had buyer's remorse. I don't have either of those urges any more.

Honestly, it's because for example questing right now is extremely hard since everyone is running around max gear, t7, thermal sights, grenade launcher scavs... there is really no point trying to battle that and get your quest done.
It might sound frustrating but the advise is sound - enjoy tarkov right now, run guns u might not be able to earlier / early wipe, try some pvp and go free labs to grasp the game mechanics. Go hard on questing when game has wiped.

Play offline mode -- don't get toooo invested into levelling up at the moment as they're about to do a wipe any day now (i'd imagine) and everyone resets. Learn a map, I recommend either Customs or Reserve.
Instead of starting off doing PMC raids and risking all your gear while you're learning, do Scav raids instead - you can do one every x minutes; I did a scav raid then I'd do offline mode and learn the maps while the timer goes down, repeat the process. You don't keep anythhing nor progress on offline mode.
