It's always good to buy guns & Going into raids with nothing makes you "Tagged & Cursed" Meaning Scavs know your exact position and are aggressive asf
At worst case, you can run a scav and use that kit.. But scav weapons are low durability, meaning they can malfunction more

use your scavs whenever you can, spend some time looking at your task rewards and see which ones give the most money/meds as rewards, and make sure to hit med spawns and stock up so you can use those instead of paying after raids
