when you scav you want to avoid killing other scavs

that lowers your scav reputation

thats what lower scav rep does

you lose access to some extracts, scav timer is longer, if you get really low ai scavs will kill you on sight

higher rep lowers cool down time, increases chance of spawning with some nice stuff in your bag/pockets, and if you get to 6.00+ you can walk around with scav bosses without worry of them targeting you

Woods is harder to learn but safer.
Customs is easier to learn but more dangerous.

Use these maps - they'll look cluttered at first. Hit "Hide All" on the left-hand toolbar, then scroll down and only toggle on "Extractions" and "Locations". That'll give you a pretty good look - feel free to toggle on some loot options as you go

Head into a practice mode on one of those maps, toggle on some AI scavs, and try to get a feel for the map, movement, gunplay, scav killing, etc.
When you're ready - try to scav into one of those maps and actually get some loot out.
Then you can take your PMC in and try to do some quests or loot or simply survive.
Good luck - you will die, try to have fun with it.

So what is the most important depend on the weapon you are modding.
And horizontal recoil tend to make shitty recoil patterns as you can control vertical easily, and people are more tall than large but horizontal will shake your gun left and right.

It doesnt have anything to do with what language you are getting yelled at. Scavs and some raiders will yell at you in russian, rogues and some raiders will yell at you in english.

You get different starting gear, different clothing and camouflage, different voicelines. Certain Quests also change depending on you being Bear or Usec. Good example is the Quest Counteraction which is Usec exclusive or Our own land which is Bear exclusive

Also rogues will react with far more hostility towards bears and engage them at greater distances
