five-seven, SR-1MP (aka Shrimp), or USP-45 are your best options. 1911 has very low mag capacity, M9 just feels awful to aim with - not crisp at all, Glock might be your best option early on

Potentially dumb question. Against scavs, how useful is armour? Is it worth me investing like 100k into weapons armour and stuff if I'm probably gonna lose it in a couple games? I don't make that much money. And a bag will let me store more but will I survive significantly longer with armour?

some of them can somewhat get through tier 4
