I'm struggling with the sight sway when moving, so I've been standing still before shooting to mitigate that

but I feel like that moment where you stop while peeking is detrimental

For these, because nobody but you knows where you're at in terms of quests or hideout, or what barters/crafts you're trying to save for you have 2 options.

1. Check everything using https://tarkov-market.com/ and the info it provides for quest/hideout/barter/crafting requirements and for flea prices. It's otherwise impossible to know, without significant experience or asking other people every time, what you'll need anytime soon, or what sells for substantial money to other players. Then you can decide what things you'll need soon enough, and which items sell for enough, to hold onto. This is quicker in the long run and more profitable, but is tedious.

2. Set a particular goal - maybe two or three hideout upgrades you want and get your list of like 5-10 items together. Sell everything else. This is the most "to hell with inventory management" approach, and you'll certainly sell things that you'll need again or could have sold for more, but you'll spend much more of your time in-raid.

Go in minimal gear to avoid tagged and cursed, put the toolset up your ass, if you spawn forklifts go for it right away. Some people are forgiving and will let you complete the task before killing

Anything you craft in, other than lav, needs fuel. Medstation, intel center, workbench, nutrition unit, etc. The Lav is a weird exception

Not most of them - you can find generic items (Mp-133 shotguns, salewas, t-plugs, etc.) as a scav and turn those in for tasks; but any tasks that require you to kill anything or find specific task items (Jaeger's message, Prapors golden pocketwatch, skiers lighter) or go to specific places can only be done as a PMC

I have a question. Is there a reason why a gun that has across the board better stats would still feel not as good as one with lower stats? I'm trying to decide between maining an akm or a ak103. The 103 seems to have better stats with the same gear attached to it as the akm, yet the recoil on the akm feels so much better.

Yeah, that's a good spot. Also try the line of rocks just south of mountain stash. Good cover, lots of scavs. Just move slow and make very little noise, because there's PMC chads, too.

And in between woodcutter and the un camp near the lake, there's a spot just north of the road in the trees. Look for a small rock and a really nice viewing lane of the un camp.
