Tarkov will hit you until you are down and then keep hitting you for good measure. I have played it since alpha and I dont think there is a single patch of dirt on any map that I didnt die on at some point during my 6k+ hours playtime. Still more than 50% of my deaths are exactly as you describe. Just been killed by a guy who managed to glitch up and literally into a tree and all I could see was a frame of his muzzle flash as my pmcs eyes closed. Good gear makes this a bit easier but you still get one tapped alot even wearing the fanciest stuff. What I think would help most is learning and cold- and hotspots on whatever map you are playing atm and either staying away from the hotspots or to be extra catious around them

The only time I’ve killed SCAVs is when they attack me first. I always took it as they were player SCAVs and wanted something I had. If I’m getting shot, I’m going to retaliate. Otherwise, I’ve never killed a SCAV unless playing as PMC.
