If you want to guarantee profit, you can always enter the cycle of scavving and offline-PMCing. Scavving can only make you money, you can't lose anything. Offline is great for learning maps and getting good at killing scavs and scav bosses. This cycle is great to simply build up lots of money quickly while learning - which makes online PMCing far easier.

When you practice youll get better at playing around that, killing them before they get the chance or retreating to cover after each shot or 2

In this game you cant remain in an enemies sights for longer than couple of seconds even if that enemy is a scav

The moment a scav sees you, imagine a circle around you begins getting smaller. It will place shots somewhere in that circle about 1 second after initially seeing you. You have about 3-4 seconds before the only thing in that circle is parts of you. Breaking line of sight will freeze that circle, but the scav will maintain his accuracy on that particular part of cover it saw you last. You can reset the circle, by shifting positions while in cover and re-peeking from a new angle.

Rule 1: Always fight scavs from reliable cover.

Rule 2: Peek briefly, but steady your aim. . Many new players panic, they'll try to flick scavs or they'll spam fire at them the moment they peek. A good player will peek, take their 1-2 seconds to line up a good headshot, and take it. If they miss, they'll duck behind their cover and reposition, resetting the scavs bad accuracy.

How the hell do I survive customs? All I need to do is extract for a quest but I've tried like 8 times in a row from naked runs to lvl 5 body armour and a helmet with level 6 armor plating. Much more likely to survive if you chill for 5-10 mins, maybe try to hunt some scavs

But if you rush to extract you either get one tapped from fortress or shredded by average dorm marked enjoyer

Fortress area might be easier to get through if there is a fight there but then you can also meet someone at sniper railroad
