Grenades blow up and being blown up is bad, I get that, I just don't get why effectively the smallest grenade in the game has the highest damage potential + the highest frag load of any other nade AFAIK.. like it's smaller than all the other nades. A compromise has to be made somewhere with a 30mm grenade, either you have a high frag potential but have a weak HE load which means they'd likely do less damage, or the opposite. That space is limited, and of the smallest of the nades it having the highest damage potential AND the highest fragment count just seems off to me.

Depends, some grenades have an offensive design that are more intended for disorientation / shock n' awe (RGN is an easy ingame example, or the old WW2 German potato masher nades for instance for an IRL one) and some are defensive like the F1. The grenade is not meant to fulfill damage across some distance like 10/15m. A m67 or a rgo are grenades that might have less damage but those grenades are effective for multiple ranges @pulsar pollen

Also I don't think the doctrine / logic behind grenades changes from IRL to ingame, they both have similar functions and intent. There are offensive and defensive grenades in Tarkov just like the real world.

Cannot speak to VOG-17 but I can speak to M67's as I was 3rd Batt 9th Marines (MOS 0311, deployed to Marjah in late 2012) and they have pretty meh capability when it comes to blowing things to pieces that aren't fleshy and filled with blood. But tbf all grenades, off or def, aren't really intended for an anti-material purpose.

That's getting more into dedicated HE stuff like say, C4, or a HE tank shell, etc.

A vog 17 would then probably be used for indoor operations or for cqc. It would send multiple tiny pellets flying like a buckshot round. They aren't effective for real battleground scenarios such as in woods (longer range maps in general).

With PSU's you never wanna go cheap. Regardless of the power output / rating, cheap PSU's are never a good idea. That ONE part can kill basically everything else in the PC in the event of a bad situation like a power surge or.. the PSU alone failing even. Cheap PSU's are a BIG yikes.
