The way tarkov works, if you want to win actual "fair" gun battles you have to abuse "swinging" around corners, generally fast movement. The type of players that tend to benefit from the covert movement sound decrease are the less skilled players who are less likely to take on a proper gunfight out in the wild. They will lurk in a bush or dark corner and wait for you and try to get you when you're unaware or locked in an animation etc. Its considered shitty behaviour

u can force them to run out of ammo pretty easily if u just jiggle peak a wall. but yeah i tried with smoke grenades and making noise, wasnt as effective.

Alternatively you can sit lumber mill / med camp and wait for pscavs
