I'm kinda split on that, having worked a bit with Unity, Tarkov isn't as badly optimized as people think, it's super ambitious and the engine has trouble coping, similar to Rust

thought the player count was on decline? cuz ik the NEW player # is pretty small but idk how many people leave the game over time

And tbh, they've been cleaning up code since 1.0, faster queues, FPS improvements, less UI lag when switching around (unless you open hideout)
