He used to use mip streaming but I don't think mip steaming can change the fps that drastically, and he is now using AMD FSR. He now refuses to play EFT and every time I say he should test to see if its the FSR he refuses too. Could it be the FSR, mip streaming being disabled or could it be something else.

normally for issues like this with windows PCs i tell people to start by downloading a fresh copy and doing a clean install of your gpu drivers then going into disk cleanup and running as admin then clear the directx shader cache and then open cmd or powershell and run "sfc /scannow" followed by "DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth" and then open windows updates and enable microsoft updates in the advanced options and install any and all updates especially ones with PCI Express in the name

So if you havent already install the driver update if you can. If its still giving issues if you follow the guide they had for amd but select only the nvidia options to uninstall. Your pc will reboot. You will have to install geforce experience again then install the driver update
