@vivid briar Can you try reinstalling "Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2019 Redistrutable (x64)" ? Not repair, uninstall and reinstall from microsoft website. This usually fixes this issue with the launcher not opening.

About this problem you'll need to use the website then. If you've done all troubleshooting available you will need BSG to change your email changed to another provider as the email provider is likely blocking the email.

@patent sedge That depends on whether the issue is on your or BSGs end, as a lot of people encounter the issue and it's not their fault. It seems to be a problem with certain ISPs and the way you connect to BSGs game servers, but that's just a wild guess. You can check out the big FAQ / Troubleshooting that's pinned in this channel and see if the solution stated there work for you. If not, tough luck, sorry, you can report it as a bug nonetheless and hope they manage to fix it once and for all at one point.

@distant trellis Is any of your parts on high usage when it happens? Especially your disk / RAM, that could be the culprit. So it's technically not freezing your screen / PC, it's just not loading past loading map 100%? I assume you've already verified your game files through the launcher and reset your graphic settings by deleting the .ini files that are stored in your Documents folder? Keep in mind that the latter step will reset your keybindings and graphic settings, including PostFX, so if you want to keep it, make a backup before deleting them. Upon starting the game again, they'll get created again. If that doesn't do the trick, see if starting the launcher and game as admin does the trick, while also disabling fullscreen optimization for the game's .exe file. You can also see if changing the compatibility mode will solve your issue and if not, see if GeForce Experience (if you've it) made some changes and if so, revert them. If it still doesn't work, try to revert to an older driver or do a clean installation of your graphic drivers, even if it doesn't seem to be connected to it, but my guess is that it's failing to loading certain files that are necessary to get into the game.

It started happening after I launched the game at the same time as an nvidia experience update.

This error comes from your NVIDIA driver, so it's either not properly installed, leftovers, corrupted etc. The quick and easy solution would be to download said .dll and copy paste it into your system32 and SYSWOW64 folder, so it'll registered by Windows. But if I were you, I'd check if there's an update for your driver and if not, do a clean re-installation of your NVIDIA driver, by uninstalling the old ones and then download them from the official NVIDIA website for your GPU. Also, GeForce Experience is not really needed and could cause issues, as it's always best to download drivers straight from the website and install them, but that's up to you.

So question? Can hackers/cheaters cause your game to freeze before killing you? I killed a 3 out of 4 pmcs on customs on what I assume was in a group. As soon as the last person pushed my game totally froze but I could hear the once running up to me and killed me. My game then automatically crashed. My team got all got head eyes. Encountered a bug if you could call it that. I was hiding my friends stuff at one of the corners at the fenced area at the weather station on Shoreline. It was in the southeast corner of the water is to the south. The problem was that the bush I hid the stuff in was closed in by boxes and since I was standing in a bush I could not jump out if there. If it's not region locked yet, he can try to connect to a EU IP, but that'd probably end up with him lagging around and causing him to disconnect while playing. It's supposed to be this way as he'll have a way better connection to Asian servers now. You can try to find a server that's between the both of you and play if it works. If not, tough luck.

whenever i start as scav or pmc the game gets stuck on "awaiting session start", where everything is frozen except for the sounds which is just the general wildlife noises when loading in, it unfreezes for a second at around 7 mins of loading and freezes again. ive tried changing my dns server and adapter options, ive scanned for viruses and found none. this issue started last night where i had just installed tarkov and was playing fine. ill post my error logs here as well

Prapor and therapist will level themselves to ll4 without you noticing it

Do you've any programs running in the background like MSI Afterburner, Dragon Center and the like? If so, turn them off or remove them, they're troublemakers for several stuff. Also, check if your Windows is up to date and re-install BattlEye with the .bat files provided in the game's folder. If it still doesn't work, see if your AV is interfering in any way and either turn it off for the time being or exclude all of Tarkovs folders

System info: Zotac 3080, Ryzen 9 5900x, TUF X-570, 32 gb Ram. My pc reboots and of course crashes the game while only in Online raids, it will happen about 3 minutes into every online raid. I have had no issues with any other game, or even offline raid's in EFT. My temps are stable while playing, 60 degrees CPU, 70 degrees GPU. Clean installed Driver' multiple times, have not overclocked anything, re-installed and updated Windows. Can't figure it out so if anyone has a similar issue Lmk!

The car extracts and coop extracts on PMC also, but they get less each time.

I wouldn't suggest going for traitor kills unless you're 100% sure as you lose 0.1 for a scav betrayal

Yea I did everything on forums ... The only thing that intrigues me is an old reddit from 2019 where some players had the same issue and Nikita actually replied to the subreddit asking for the guys infos and other people commenting their ign on the subreddit as well as they had the same issue. A: It's likely that the servers the launcher is trying to get the files from are having connections issues, thus failing the installation. You can either try to download the game/update with a VPN enabled or go into C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\Battlestate Games\BsgLauncher\Logs, open the latest log (not cef.log) the launcher created with Notepad or similar and get help in the community-support channel. Please don't attach this file to a public channel as it contains private information! If this is for an update, if it's been stuck for a long time (>30 minutes), X out the launcher and reopen it and run a file integrity check from the menu at the top right > click on your name. Then try to update again after it is complete.

The launcher directory has a folder called Temp that holds temporary file you're downloading for the game. As soon as you press download it populates 12GB in that file.

I'd reinstall the launcher and try again and make sure every antivirus is disabled and the launcher and game directory is white listed, to be sure.

Hi, so I bought this game a few days ago, and was charged two different times. The weird Russian pay app told me my credit card didn't work, so i used paypal, which went through just fine. However, it turns out i was charged via my credit card and i now own two copies of the base edition. I put a support ticket in, and another to update with new information, but neither have been responded to in a few days, so i'm thinking about contesting the extr charge on my credit card. Is there somebody i can talk to to make sure that this wont cause issues with my account? I'd really like to have my money back sooner rather than later.

Hi i have a problem. So i gotta like restart my game everytime i complete a task in order to accept the rewards from my task or even start the next task how do i fix this (i cleared cache and did a file intergity check)

You were only supposed to kill the process that uses that single file 😄 but a simple refresh of Windows Explorer or a reboot will do the job
