It was already in my stash. The helmet kept resetting back to its original position in my rig, in my stash

It was because of the Gas mask I was wearing. It was saying it was incompatible even though it was working.

I sold the gas mask, bought a new one and used it and I was fine. Weird.

First go to my documents / escape from tarkov / delete "local.ini" and restart the game. If that doesn't work go back to that folder and delete "local.ini" and "shared.ini". This resets your graphics settings and shared.ini deletes your key binds. They might be corrupted.

Each time you use it, you get less though
First time = +0.25, second time +0.12, Third 0.06 etc
Each map has its own ticker though so you can use all three maps and get +0.75 @agile birch

Q: How long does it take for the official support to get back to me?
A: It usually takes 3-5 business days to get a response but it might take longer depending on the workload, holidays, urgency of the request, etc. There's no official/expected response time. Note that ban appeals must be sent to Battleye, not BSG.

Q: When trying to access Tarkov's website, I can't get past the captcha, it always resets itself.
A: The first thing you can try, is to go to your time settings in Windows, turn off auto-sync and then re-enable it, see if that did the trick. If you've installed any antivirus, e.g Malwarebytes, BitDefender, Windows Defender, etc., disable their online protection in the applications settings, they seem to block captchas. Turn the protection back on after the captcha is completed and you're logged in. Note, Windows Defender may reactive itself if you disable your other antiviruses, be sure this gets disabled as well.

Q: I don't seem to receive the verification code sent via email.

Q: I see an error saying "Error 104006: Object reference not set to an instance of an object" when trying to install the game.
A: Please read the footnote before attempting this. First, try opening the launcher as admin. If that doesn't work, clear the launcher's cache by clicking your name at the top right > Settings > Clear cache. If this does not help, reinstall the launcher. If that does not help, Reinstall the launcher on the same drive that your Operating System (Windows) is installed to and install the game to a separate folder named "Escape from Tarkov" (not in C:\ ... Try C:\Program files\Escape From Tarkov\ [HERE] ). After the game is installed on C you can move the game folder to another drive, like an SSD, and, in the launcher, "choose an existing installation" and point to that folder on your SSD with the game files, and let it scan it and you should be good to go. If not, you may need to delete a registry key (or use CCleaner and "delete"(not uninstall) "Escape from Tarkov" game (not the launcher!) entry in the "uninstall a program" list - This is easiest!) then reinstall the game where you want it to be. If you don't have CCleaner please first create a restore point on your C drive by going to Start > type "create a restore point" and click on the drive where your Windows is installed (C:) and then "create" and name it anything you'd like. After that is done (to be sure you can undo this if you do the wrong thing), go to Start and type "registry editor" and right-click the registry editor and open it as administrator. Browse to the following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\EscapeFromTarkov and delete the folder "EscapeFromTarkov" on the left. Then try to reinstall the game. You may need to install it to C with the launcher on C as well if you still have this problem. You may need to delete that registry entry again if you got the error after deleting it, and after you install the launcher to C to troubleshoot further. This problem is caused by having the game previously installed to another drive (or drive letters were changed due to a new drive added!) and the launcher is confused.

• If you just changed or added a drive and this happened, you might be able to fix this problem, easily, by changing the drive letters of your previous drives (not C ) back to what they were, before this change/new drive, in Disk Management (right-click Start > Disk Management and right-click the drive and "change drive letter"). Note, changing drive letters may cause some issues with anything installed to any of these drives. Doing so may also fix some problems with programs on the drives that were changed when this problem happened. This second option may fix various other programs having the same issues but may result in data loss. Thus, it is advised to back up your data externally before attempting this.

Q: When trying to download Tarkov or just an update, I get a speed of 0MB/s, why's that?
A: First, right click the launcher's icon and run as administrator. If you still have the problem, wait about 5 minutes with the download attempting to continue, as this can fix itself. If not, turn off all antiviruses, including windows defender. If this does not work, open Powershell as an administrator and type in the following commands: netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled and hit ENTER, then follow it up with this command netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=normal and then attempt to update again.

Q: Whenever I try to download the game or an update, it keeps getting stuck at a certain % or just fails, doesn't matter how long I wait for it.
A: It's likely that the servers the launcher is trying to get the files from are having connections issues, thus failing the installation. You can either try to download the game/update with a VPN enabled or go into C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\Battlestate Games\BsgLauncher\Logs, open the latest log (not cef.log) the launcher created with Notepad or similar and get help in the #community-support channel. Please don't attach this file to a public channel as it contains private information! If this is for an update, if it's been stuck for a long time (>30 minutes), X out the launcher and reopen it and run a file integrity check from the menu at the top right > click on your name. Then try to update again after it is complete.

Q: I'm getting the "the process is being used by another program" error for a specific file.
A: Either try to start the launcher with admin rights or Open Task Manager > Performance > Resource Monitor at the bottom > CPU > Associated Handles > Look for the file with the search bar and see which process uses it > Right-click > End process. Also try disabling all antivirus software, especially Windows Defender, temporarily, if this is for installing the game. Also, add the game and launcher directories to your antivirus' exclusion/whitelist to prevent any further issues.

Q: I'm getting "Game launch error - ERROR 103003 - Access is denied"
A: Make sure to run both launcher and game as administrator and either make an exception in your Antivirus for the game's launcher and game file folders or turn it off for the time being - even Windows Defender.

Q: My game starts in Window mode only and I can't seem to change it back via the in-game settings.
A: The most simple solution would be to press ALT + ENTER. If that doesn't work, go into Documents\Escape from Tarkov, open the local.ini file with Notepad or similar, look for "FullscreenMode": 0, and change it to a 1, then save the file. If this doesn't work, delete the local.ini file and that will reset your graphics settings and resolve the issue.

Q: My whole PC shuts down while playing Tarkov and then instantly reboots.
A: As it's highly unlikely that the game is causing this, the next logical thing would be that one of your components is faulty / has a malfunction / overheating or that it can't allocate the power needed to play this game. This also may be a result of an improper overclock. There's no generic fix for that. You'd need to test each component separately to know what's causing this. The only thing you can do is to monitor the temperatures and usage of your components with Task Manager (for the usage) and HWMonitor for the temperatures and see if overheating is the issue. If not, test your RAM with Windows built-in tool "Windows Memory Diagnostic" or MemTest86 for a more advanced user.

Q: My PC tends to give me a blue screen while playing this game, why?
A: To know what's causing the blue screen, it'd be necessary to analyze the .dmp file Windows created when it happened. It should be located in C:\Windows or C:\Windows\Minidump. Once found, leave a message in the community-support channel and someone will help you analyze it.

Q: My game keeps crashing with a Unity error / without errors. What can I do to resolve this?
A: There's no generic fix for that, but it generally helps to completely uninstall your graphic drivers and do a CLEAN (important) installation via AMD or NVIDIA's website, make sure to be on the latest Windows update, start the launcher and game as administrator, disable "Fullscreen optimization" via the game .exe's Properties > Compatibility tab. Other than that, you can check what Windows Event viewer says about those crashes, they'll be listed as a "critical event". Once found, double click on it to receive further information on what made the game crash (Faults module name) and then go from there.

Q: I'm getting stutters/freezes while playing, and it only happens with Tarkov.
A: Your RAM or disk is likely the cause of it. Monitor the usage of your components via Task Manager while playing and see if any of your components have a high usage (85-100%). The next best thing is to check your disk's health with software you can find online or let Windows check for any disk errors. If there's nothing wrong with it, check your RAM sticks with Windows integrated "Memory Diagnostic" tool or Memtest86 for the more advanced user. Also, make sure to be above the recommended system requirements. The solution that worked for most people is to increase your pagefile size (virtual memory) to 8000 minimum and 15000 maximum (suggested to start with), but keep in mind that this could also cause Windows to have issues. If your Windows drive is a mechanical hard drive, moving the page file (virtual memory) to an SSD can help this problem. Make sure you only have one page file by making sure all other drives in 'Paging file size for each drive' say 'none', otherwise this may cause significant performance issues.

Q: While attempting to start the game, it won't get past the first/second loading screen.
A: Go into Documents\Escape from Tarkov and delete the local.ini file and then restart Tarkov. If this does not fix the problem, go to the same file location and delete the shared.ini file and local.ini file again. Keep in mind, that this will reset your settings for Tarkov, so if you want to keep them, backup both of the .ini files first before deleting them.

Q: I always seem to get "Server connection lost" while playing Tarkov, be it as a Scav or PMC, all other games work fine and it's not my internet.
A: There's no generic fix for that; it's a common issue some users encounter. The provided solutions may or may not work for some users. Some users managed to solve it by playing with a VPN, switching to a wired connection and not using Wifi, or turning off IPV6 in your Windows' network adapter's settings. Also, if nothing works, this might be an ISP issue related to them being IPV6 only - and that is not something you can fix on your end. You can attempt to reach out to your ISP and ask for them to get prioritized IPV4 support for your network as ISPs that are pure IPV6 seem to be the cause of this problem on Escape from Tarkov. This may require asking for tier 2 support as your ISP may not know what you're talking about. Note that this seems to be a more common issue in Europe as they are moving to IPV6 only faster than other countries.

Q: The icons of my in-game items all just keep loading/are displayed as another item.
A: Close the game, open your launcher and click on the little arrow in the top right corner that's next to your name and click on "Clear cache", this should reset all of the icons. It will not pop up and tell you it cleared the cache, and that confuses some people.

Q: I always receive an "EBackendErrorCode/518" error when trying to purchase something from the in-game traders.
**A: ** That's because you don't have any room left in your stash to receive the cash, so you just need to make some space for it, it won't go in any containers or the like.

Q: I've video proof of someone cheating in-game, and I'd like to send it to someone to get this person banned. Where can I send it?
A: The only way to report someone is at the death screen via the red triangle (if it was a player). No further evidence is needed. If there is no red triangle next to the person's name who killed you, you died to AI. If the name is not in Russian, it could be from a Raider, Scav Boss, or Scav Boss Guard, all of which are AI.

Doesn't matter. You can see if it's a problem with your own internet by pinging your own IP or any other IP, it'll tell you the packet loss at the end of each ping test. Or use https://packetlosstest.com/ for example and set the settings as you see fit.

Also, make sure the ethenet cables and adapters you're using (if applicable) are actually capable of transferring the speed/packets you've at home. CAT6 are the best ones in that regard

16gb of RAM,
temps fine, low settings, low draw distance, etc

In summary, the Radeon RX 570 4GB is clearly an overpowered bit of hardware for Escape from Tarkov, but it certainly gives you the choice of desired in game visuals.

Hello I am having an issue with my game that is making it crash

My system is a 6700k, 16gb 8x2ram, and a GTX 760. I am not overclocking any due to the fact that I can’t get the game to run right. So I am running lowest settings at 1080p with anti aliasing on max and object ocd at max. Something close to object____. So the game appears to run fine but without any warning it kicks me out and shows me the Tarkov loading screen but it’s frozen. I am still able to move around and shoot and even get killed by the scavs but after about 1-2 mins it crashes and sends me back to launcher

Also I forgot to mention I just swapped the gpu from a r7 260x which ram this game at around 50 FPS. This is pretty much my test rig and I’m testing all the closet gpus

the cpu and gpu have both been repasted with arctic mx-5 about 2 days ago

I just ran a reserve run and it was around 70-80 FPS but met my demise in about 5 mins because I ran into glucose

If it's fully downloaded, as that file will populate when it's first being downloaded and also can't be complete, you can extract it with winrar/7zip into a folder and then set that as an existing installation.

@grim hatch Just 30 minutes ago, I had completed a quest and when trying to receive the rewards, it did the "flashing" animation of items when trying to move it to my stash. I thought it was some sort of internet connection problem, but it just kept "blinking" the items and freezing them. Couldn't even exit back to menu. Had to close the game through task manager. Since the problem seems to be random, it could be problems on your ISP's end. I'd try with no router, as in Ethernet to modem if you have modem + router, to be sure the router is good.

After I stop the download, the bsglauncher keeps on running in the background using up disk and does not stop when I click end task either

While the download is trying to complete and launcher is running as admin, open Windows Powershell as an administrator and type in the following commands:

netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled and hit ENTER

netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=normal and hit ENTER again

See if that helps.

Alright, so I got everything cleared out and reinstalled it, when I click install in the launcher it says “the C:\Battlestate Games\BsgLauncher is not empty. Are you sure you want to install the game into selected folder”.

What should I do here

There is a bsglauncher file within the battle state games folder and a bsglauncher folder outside of it that has all of the data in it

The launcher and the game files are not the same.

If that file that is downloaded is complete, open it with winrar or 7zip and extract it to a folder and then set that as an existing installation in the launcher.

It can be incomplete if it's just a temporary file, as it will be created as soon as the download starts, to take up that space.

let me broaden it so it's easier to understand. The first time this occurred was yesterday. I was playing for about 5 hours straight and I'd say by the end of the session (probably my second to last raid) the error first occurred. Had to restart my game and go again.
When I first logged on today I immediately started doing tasks (on shoreline to be exact, not that it matters) and after the first raid, about 30 minutes into playing, I tried to turn in the quest item (did that with no problems) an then tried to accept a new quest (clicking accept did nothing). I couldn't even accept the rewards from the quest I had finished

Hello, also have the same problem (and one of my friends too but not the other one) and if i remember right i had fence quest taken but not finished it. Also this hotfix didnt fixed it and it still lags you out when you complete any quest.

Going to try that next.. did the reflex toggle and restart and looks like it's helped.. GPU utilization fluctuating but getting up into the 60s, FPS in the 70s, going between 90s and 60s.. we'll see what boost does
