Already tried the usual troubleshooting steps? E.g running as admin, changing compatibility-mode to another Windows version, closing softwares like MSI afterburner, disabling AV, clearing the temp folder of EFT etc.

Then your last resorts are to delete the registry of EFT, the setting files and trying to revert your graphics driver if you've updated lately. Other than that, reinstalling would be necessary.

Deleting that registry entry is to help install the game when you've deleted the files and can't install due to that registry key being there (launcher thinks the game is installed somewhere it's not). Your best bet to fix this would be to delete "shared.ini" in my documents / escape from tarkov.

I want to buy this game and I have a gtx 1050TI i3-8100 and 16gb ram (2x8). Will i run the game on a 50-60+ fps average on medium settings or med-low. I can play on 900p if 1080p will be an issue. I can also play the game on an SSD if necessary. Some YouTube videos are old and some don't really match my rig. And also how much fps you really need to enjoy tarkov or get on a higher gameplay level (if you know what i mean).

Odd problem to only happen since you moved the PC. This sounds like a driver issue. Can you downgrade to the studio drivers for your gpu if you're on nvidia?

You can check that via CMD. Open it and type ipconfig /all, hit enter and look for DCHP Enabled and if it says Yes, you've a dynamic IP, otherwise it's static if it says No

Try to delete the local.ini file in the Documents\Escape from Tarkov path. Other than that, try the usual troubleshooting, e.g changing the compatibility-mode to another Windows version, launching as admin, reverting any graphic settings GeForce Experience or similar software made.

@scenic flicker Have you already made the integrity check for the game files? If so, try to update Windows or your graphic drivers if not on latest, and run the game as admin. There's a program called All in One Runtimes, which will download every possible redist you might be missing, which could be the problem as well. If you're running any programs like MSI Afterburner or similar, close them prior to starting it. It's also worth a shot disabling your AV, maybe it's conflicting with something.

@proven bramble About the connection error now, have you tried using a VPN or mobile data and using it as a hotspot to see if it's because of your IP/ISP? Also, if you've IPV6 enabled, disable it in your adapter configurations. You can also try to flush your DNS and use Google's or Cloudflares DNS to see if that did the trick. And even though I doubt it'll help, try to start the launcher as admin.

I need somebody that knows a little about computer hardware to weight on something for me. I have my Windows 21gb pagefile on my SSD, but since Tarkov eats and uses so much RAM and actively increases my pagefile, I wanted to move it on my 4TB HDD and increase the pagefile it to 200gb so that 1) it stops messing with my SSD and avoid just ruining it, and 2) the increase in pagefile should allow for more smoothness during gameplay I imagine.
Question is, would the game actually be less smooth since the pagefile would be on my HDD?

Drives don't have an impact on FPS / performance of a game, it's all about loading times. So having it on a HDD will only make a difference in terms of starting any game, loading into raids etc, it'll be significantly slower than having it on a SSD / NVME.

Sounds like you have a memory leak on the page file. I'd put the max at 32000 and keep it there.

You can put the page file on a SSD if you want, it will be way more helpful than on a HDD

The only other times I have seen this specific problem outside of known server issues is that the ISP has something to do with it, and a VPN fixed it for them so that solidified that it was on the ISP end.

You could try changing DNS servers to google's but that may not do anything

Yes, you only need one pair in order to make it work. It's just plug and done, they'll automatically connect with each other once set up and you'll have a much more stable and better connection

so now that im connected to my vpn i click on the captcha. nothing pops up and it just says checking your browser

This happens without the VPN as well? On your real IP?

its only doing this on the vpn, on w/o the vpn the captcha pops up, it says "redirecting" and then loops back to the captcha

I'd try contacting cloudflare, but they might tell you the same thing they told them back then. You could call your ISP and have them give you a new IP, but they will probably ask for a reason and this might sound shady.

You could email [e-mail] but it might just be a cloudflare issue

You can check if you've a dynamic IP address via CMD. If so, you can try to give yourself a new one by releasing your current IP via CMD as well if available l and renew it.

1. ipconfig /all
2. Look for your connection and DCHP Enabled. If it says Yes, you've a dynamic IP address and you can follow it up with the release and renew command. If it say's No, you've a static IP address.
3. ipconfig /release and ipconfig /renew

Sounds like either the IP you're using is blocked by cloudflare or BSG's website.

Or another issue with cloudflare.

I've one last idea, try to flush your own DNS cache. And remove Google's DNS again. CMD > ipconfig /flushdns
