the game wouldnt repair, keeps getting stuck at zero, and after uninstalling the game, the launcher and arena, it's still giving me the same issue.

tried to bypass it by downloading the files, and extracting the bsgp file before it finished validating and then closing the launcher, and moving the extracted files into the game folder, that doesn't work, also gets stuck on the repair step at 0%

I deleted the files in the %appdata% folder, doesnt work. Also added eft to my whitelist on windows defender, nada.

I don't know what to do at this point. I have been uninstalling and reinstalling for hours and it still doesn't want to do anything. If anyone has any idea on how to resolve this I would appreciate some assistance. I did submit a ticket today on the website as well.

basically it's bsg side issue due to their cdn's not synced properly. One of tarkov's cdn node's is giving wrong file when you try to download it, can probably check in the log file and disallow windows contacting that cdn node, and launcher will choose different one

For others with 108003 error

When downloading 1.0.4.6.44802 build my friend had this error, i found that bsg launcher was expecting to get file with checksum 52707997042 bytes, but tarkov's cdn-11.eft-store.com was giving old file with 33592209825 bytes, after disallowing that cdn for windows to contact launcher chose different one and everything downloaded

nah, this sort of thing is oopsie-doopsie from bsg side, can happen to anyone. The game that "costs the earth" should though run at least on 13900K and 4090 without fps drops, and should not be "optimised" by downgrading graphics in game and lod and shadows draw distance

Hi guys, I don't know if you can help me. When I install Tarkov, I get the error shown in the screenshot. I saw on some forums that I should run the launcher as administrator to avoid the error, but it still happens. I also uninstalled and reinstalled the launcher, and changed my region in case that was the problem, but nothing changed. Honestly, I don't know what else to do because no matter what I do, the error persists.

you'll likely get game to run but encounter many other errors at some point. Basically imagine you need to download doom game that is 50gb, but instead 32gb file is downloaded, which is same game but few levels are missing. Sure you can try the verifier to accept that install and get game running, but what about missing levels?

check logs of launcher, if it's due to cdn-11 or some other faulty endpoint, add it to hosts files leading to localhost, so bsg lanucher would choose different one

If it's cdn-11 which my friend and people above had, then go to

btw i believe the checksum issue come sfrom the evaluation not considering broken path strings , eg.:

The image says that in case of a "consistency" error, you have to try to get the file from someone who is able to open the game normally.

if you have consistency error, then you tried to install at the wrong folder

during the installation you need to try to install the game in the extracted eft_live directory, but that directory must be outside of any BSG folder. My recommendation is C:\Program Files(x86)\eft_live<version_number_here>

The real issue seems to be the launcher downloading the wrong file. Scroll up a bit, and find the message I replied to earlier. It requires you going into your hosts file and adding a line in it via notepad. That helped me when nothing else worked.

Imagine there are 666666666 files, only 5 of them are large, like 4 gigabytes each. You're downloading 5x 4 gigabytes for the first files, and that's still going to be 0%

The first % could take 20-25 minutes. But yesterday with the previous method there were people who experienced insane slug, 2 hours total time

And do note the initial method was supposed to be faster, because you got most files compressed

Solution after the fact was to disable Mip Streaming. Setting had disappeared in Tarkov, so I had to go to the Graphics config file to set it to false.
