in game bug. i play PVE and the "play on BSG servers" option does not work. ever since 1.0 i get the same performance as if i was playing local which = half the fps.

its not properly running on BSG servers. performance is fine in all other games. right now its running just like PVE did before they added the option to play on BSG servers.

the toggle in game is either broken or they are just taking all of the server resources and allocating them to PVP players being that its launch and they were getting slammed with many new people playing all at once

whatever it is. i just want to be able to play the game at a stable decent framerate. going into a high AI area and my fps tanking to 45-55 fps on a 4090 sucks. obvously they threaded the game AI and logic on the same thread as the graphics pipeline or something of the sorts because if it was properly threaded. on a multi core cpu. some threads would be dedicated for logic and ai awhile another would be for rendering. and this would never been an issue and playing local would havve no fps difference than running the logic and ai on server.

Is it possible to give feedback? I think instant death by arm shot (just died to a couple of m61s to the arm only) should be nerfed. I'd understand if it was in vital organs (chest, head and even leg maybe), but not the arm. I don't mind if my aim is all messed up but it shouldn't kill you instantly.

Alright I'm going to say it. that setting delivers 20-50% FPS gains and eliminates stutters on Intel 12th+ gen hybrid CPUs. The instruction I gave him was specific to his hardware and has minimal to no impact on windows multitasking when gaming.

A 2020 era GPU is not dated, the 40 and 50 series GPUs have no significant improvement on previous gens beyond number and slight percentiles. Tarkov began development over 5 years before the 30 series was even released, and is constrained by the development engine used in it's creation.

hey everyone sorry if this has been talked about recently i couldnt find the same issue above.
yesterday the launcher said some files were corrupted and did an integrity check, and this started happening everytime i wanted to launch the game, after googling a bit i just decided to reinstall the whole thing to be safe. here is where the real issues arose, firstly downloading the game was a whole challenge due to "failed to download" errors everytime, then when i was able to download the game it again got stuck in an integrity check/repair loop and I can't seem to find a solution that works for me, i tried moving the game files and relinking the path (Which didnt work at all), i tried deleting temp files, appdata files, installing in a different drive... From what I can gather this isn't a common problem and so I don't really know what the cause is. Would be a huge help if anyone knows as I am unable to even download the game let alone play it.

"Windows + R" will open windows run application. In it, you can type windowsdefender://exclusions and it should pop up straight away with no other windows saying you don't have perms. If it comes up, you are all set, if it messages/alerts before windows defender exclusion settings come up, you have something taking over windows defender, usually a 3rd party anti virus. This random blip of a message only appears when you run the run command but does not however if you navigate through the windows panels.

is there any way at all to increase the allowed download speed the launcher can download the game with? For some reason my launcher is stuck at 3mb/s, which is not even 5% of what my available internet download speed is.

Bloody 20gb update (yes I still had to do the 1.0 update) takes OVER AN HOUR to do.

It seems like it but its not. Tarkov runs on your cpu main core, windows by default also does this with your network. Those commands just open the flood gates

you will aslo see a significant boost with steam downoads for call of duty warzone

Like, installing the game before the 1.0 update, which was objectively WAY more download size, didn't even take an hour.

steam, discord, windows netsh, nvidia app, medal, other background apps running all on the same thread all may have updated and have been sucking more hardware capability.

Could maybe help to add that I did the manual download for the install.

For some reason installing it through the bsg launcher always brought issues.

Been here twice for that already.

But to update, I've applied the powershell commands, and nope, still 3mb/s.
