If "nothing happens" when you try to install, and just see the install button again, with no progress after confirming the location to install, choose any folder within C:\Program Files (x86)\ like "EFT" in there and start the launcher as administrator. The issue you're describing is 9 times out of 10 due to RAM, and 1 times out of 10 due to server selection

For one there isn't an FPS cap, and two your compenents should be around that usage

32GB and a page file is recommended to load all the locations

So there is a post on Reddit that says to log into the official EFT website and go to your profile and then the gear and reset your PVP account. Launch EFT and click the PVE section and it worked. I did have fun in PVP and I will be back when this is fixed.
