If "nothing happens" when you try to install, and just see the install button again, with no progress after confirming the location to install, choose any folder within C:\Program Files (x86)\ like "EFT" in there and start the launcher as administrator. That location has less permissions and will work.

A lot of textures on stuff in game are blurry / look unrendered, is that also caused by mip streaming

That is what MIP streaming does

It loads textures at a lower quality so they use less RAM and then switches in the higher quality ones as you look at them, it's quite taxing on the hard drive and causes instability issues with the game

if you have a friend playing tarkov then try to get them to reset their own password to do a test. if your friend can reset then just provide your own password reset link that you got via email and they will be able to do it for you. that's how I got in the game finally
