I got to task manager and it said Tarkov is at 10gb out of my 16gb ram. It was running fine before! Any ideas why now it’s utilizing so much ram?

Any idea why I'm only getting around 50-60fps on streets of tarkov map? I've done all of the optimization guides etc, yet they helped me gain 0 fps in total.
My setup: 4060Ti 8gb, i7 11700f 8/16 5ghz, 2x16gb 3200mhz ram, game is installed on an nvme m2 3500/3000. Yes, my ram is indeed running at 3200mhz. Yes, my drivers are up to date.
My god damn gtx 970 was able to run most of the maps on 70fps, but my 4060Ti cannot? This game's optimization is a joke. I've watched multiple benchmarks and people with identical setups were getting around 100-150fps. I've uninstalled this game multiple times throughout the years and just waited for an optimization patch, but it seems like it's never getting one.

Any idea how I could fix this, or should I just give up?

I feel your pain. Lesser specs here of: 3070, 10700k 2x16gb corsair 3200 Mhz ram and equally installed on an nvme.
I average 40 FPS on streets but can drop as low as 27 and as high as 65 depending on the direction I look.

But equally see people on the reddit and such talk about how they get 60-80 fps average on very similar specs.

Ive been screwing around with Nvidia control panel and saw some slight success utilising DSR-DL 1.75x (Probably a 5 fps gain total) but with your slightly beefier PC it may be an option.

But yeah, 100% feels like a black box of "Guess the setting" atm

You are in a CPU bottleneck, there is lots you can do to improve your GPU usage, I'd suggest checking out videos from a guy on YouTube called Klementine. He has videos showing how you can increase your performance in CPU or GPU bound scenarios.

And you can do many things like DLDSR and DSR factors and using scaling to increase your performance, your GPU is basically idle

That usage leads me to think you just turned all your settings down and didn't actually try anything recommended, there are LOTS of things you can try, I mentioned two, try turning up your settings a bit, what resolution are you playing at? What are your in-game settings?

And to get your first point, your CPU being at 33% is completely normal, if your CPU were at 100% utilisation your system would immediately crash, you want it to be utilising your performance cores, so using the only use physical cores setting or using software like process lasso to force that can help a lot, but your 'usage' won't increase

When I'm in either map PMC/SCAV during the night and out side, it constantly looks like this, just a silhouette of everything and no actually detail of anything below the sky(example in the newest pic). In the light of course its better but even in the light when i move out of it the light quickly becomes less illuminated in the surrounding area as shown in the first 2 pics i shown.

i just played a game on streets and was on the road where skybridge building key spawn is so i killed someone like right next to that building and see there is a dead pmc in the one alleyway that is on that road so i proceed to go loot his body and i start taking damage no gunshots no nothing random damage so keep backing up in the alleyway and i tank a headshot then my character proceeds to die and i look at what i died to and i died to a pmc with no audio whatsoever i was getting shot at by invisible bullets i didn't hear a single gunshot so idk if the dude was invisible or if that part of the map is glitched when it comes to audio also may i note the dude who killed me had a mp5 with no sight no where to be seen but i figured id say something 😄

OK! Guys! Can someone give me good Graphics/PostFX settings for this game. During Snow event (I you should agree with me that this was THE BEST EVENT in Tarkov) i didnt have any issues with graphics. Everything was clear and i was able to see PMC and Scav on map. Especially in wooded places. NOW, when i go to WOODS i dont see in shadows. Everything is shit.Its like im on Interchange, but now it is on WOODS. I tried to fix it, but still, i dont see people on map. Especially on boss spawn. I was able to see PMC near barracks only because Scav was shooting him. Is there any optimal settings for such thing?|

Hello, I just completed the quest from Mechanic, The Gunsmith 12, and somehow there was a problem. The game showed error messages when i clicked "Quest Complete" button, saying "Backend~ bulla bulla", and sent me back to lobby, and my quest rewards are all gone. totally vaporized and cannot receive my Gunsmith 12 rewards. also, the game showed error messages telling the same thing, "Backend bulla bulla~" when I started Gunsmith 13, and completing the quest.

Summary : 1. The game shows me error messages " backend~" or "Critical Error, 1000 - Backend error
2. it happend when i completed "Gunsmith 12" quest yesterday(2024-02-17), and and happens every time i click "Gunsmith 13" quest complete button.
3. All rewards are totally vaporized and cannot receive them. cannot continue.

these errors are driving me crazy, thinking of how many rewards and locked gears i can get from completing these quests, it needs to be fixed and i need my compensation.

I see. The only thing I can see being a problem is your processor itself, then. Perhaps it's beginning to fail. Try running a memory test, and checking tarkov integrity + clearing cache. If the test comes back clean and the check and clear doesn't help, I'd suggest replacing your processor.

Depends, really. I don't know what all you use it for, but things like Tarkov are very processor/ram intensive, and will definitely chip away at them over time. Running several things like it will eat away at their lifespan. Plus, excessive heat will do damage as well

as far as I can tell its not my immediate internet* as everything else functions and loads just fine. I say immediate internet because I havent ruled out some issue with the internet VS the game. for exmple the ISP is giving the game wrong location information. This is a theory because some people have said using a VPN fixed their issue.

I also dont think its my internet because the connections are wildly inconsistent. I live in New Mexico, but NA south has a 6000 ping! north east america has over 4000. the closest to me is over 200. however, I have noticed the last few days that after midnight mytime the connection improves drastically to acceptable levels. this lasts and slowly degrades until around 4pm at which point it becomes unplayable

Everytime i try to play regular or arena tarkov everything works fine in the menus until i try to play the actual game my screen goes black then my computer gets laggy and it says connection lost. Im having a weird issue, I just upgraded my system to a Ryzen 7 7800x3D with an RX 6900XT, 32GB DDR5 RAM. Wiped drive with clean install of windows. Now the issue is when I try and play tarkov, the launcher works fine, game boots up with no issues to the menu, but then in the menu screen if I try and click on anything it crashes/freezes the game. I can hear the music playing but the screen is frozen. When I try and kill the process it moves it to a background process and never closes until I restart my PC. Ive Run a GPU stress test on furmark as well as userbenchmark, both CPU and GPU come back with perfect scores, MEMTest found no issues. Any Ideas?

if u have a scav kill mission just go in pistol/ shotgun and no armour or bags. sit in a corner of a room and scav will run to you bc of "tagged and cursed" debuff it helps alot can get 4-8 scavs in 5mn easy

Check the folder where the game is installed, do you have all 4 exes in one folder?

If you permanently lose access to the email linked to your EFT account, are you SOL, or do they let you change the email????

You must uninstall both or delete the folder and reinstall the game into two separate folders since you can not install them both to one folder. You are missing files for both games.

They’re world war 2 guns being used in Ukraine right now, and those are entire armies. I think a scav or a pmc would use whatever they could get there hands on. Plus these weapons are widespread across Russia and its neighbors due to stockpiles, and lots of them being kept from world war 2 by Russia. Especially since the mosin is older than most of the guns he listed lol. The ammo for them is pretty widespread too I believe.

I would like to see some different early game world war 1-2 weapons in the game I think it’d be interesting.
