similar to a plate in armor, if the faceshield is attached to a helmet the helmet says lvl 6, but if you hover over it it says face lvl 6 (bc of the faceshield) and rest lvl 4

if you play arena, the shoreline and interchange keys you can get off Ref are decent for armor plates and modded guns. Kiba consistently has t5/t6 plates. for hideout stuff i'd say cabinets in Reserve. for ammo can farm bosses, specific rooms on streets (keys required, probably cheap though), or labs.

will depend on what point in the game you are. ground zero is really good for hideout supplies for early game, theres several spots (like in the buildings) that either have a ton of pc's or a bunch of technical related crates. its also extremely low risk.

theres also spots like interchange with the usec camp and scav camp that are both outside which can have some nice little supplies in it. also very low risk

im very much a loot hoarder so I enjoyed going to those spots (now I dont really care about much loot, I downsized from 14 scav junk boxes to 6 recently)

like for a long while i only played ground zero and factory and mostly as a scav since i was just too afraid to lose anything on my pmc. After a while i got used to things started using the pmc more to finish tour and unlock all the maps and then id mix in playing a scav on the maps i wanted to learn for a few to get a feel for locations and then run my pmc through after i was comfortable to do things. It also helps if you have a second monitor and go to re3mar's website for maps to use as a reference. I downloaded a copy of all his maps and always open one up for quick reference incase i have a brain fart and need to know where to go from where i am for an exfil or something

then i ended up getting addicted to being a ammo goblin in labs for a month and somehow amassed 400mil roubles and enough filled scav junkboxes with ram, btc and gpus and ledx that i didnt care about while hording up like 10-15k+ of each good ammo

get a pb pistol with the drum mag and the silencer, bring alot alot of bullets the first 2ish raids. fire until the barrel is too hot and fix your malfunctions. 8 malfunctions= 10 points almost even. never repair this gun. eventually your durability will be so low that you jam on every bullet

once you have it that low you only need 1 filled mag a raid

then just make sure you watch the cooldown on the skill and thats it
