i thought that until i did capturing outposts
for that quest i ended up finding a route from some youtuber that goes from like12 o'clock of teh mountain counter clockwise down to about 7 o'clock and each run i ran into 1-2 groups of 2-3 pmcs

this one doesn't sound too bad because there's a chance for a group of pmcs to spawn where the burned car and the pmc body is, also inside the woods bunker

it's time consuming because RNG doesn't usually spawn pmcs there

capturing outpost is worse because pmcs rarely spawn in stronghold

they also roam under the mountain sniper too (at the rocks there)

and east of the BTR stop where the powerlines cross over the road

just that having to check more than 4 spawn locations for an item seems way too damn excessive
