either way, you're gonna need to pay attention to audio as well as make sure you're running armor capable of actually saving your life

to a new player the games got a lot of layers to it. bad ammo can get you killed, bad armor can get you killed, bad headsets can get you killed and all three at once are enough to turn people away

just be persistent and make note of how you died/where you died, you'll never be truly stuck and even if you are there's people here who can help in-game too

Just do practice raids as people have said and have a map pulled up to get familiar with the map and it's specific dangers, and like always aim for the head if possible, cause most ai, except for right now pillagers, and bosses like killa and tagilla and guards like reshalas guards which have a chance, dont have face protection so no matter the ammo (as far as I know) will instantly headshot most ai, except for a few exceptions like bosses with sometimes need 2 or 3 depending on the ammo and all that

PvE has honestly been the only reason I have gotten to enjoy Tarkov, back in the first year of it, I played it for about 2 hours before hacker after hacker, stopped playing for a LONG time, came back last year only to die to someone within the first 10 seconds of a raid with 4 hours in his life time. (No clue if it was a cheater or someone that was making a new account for shits). I bought PvE and have had more fun not only taking my time, but getting to learn thought trail and error. Folk think that PvE is all rainbows and Sunshine, and sometimes it is, but it is also the most unforgiving place to be. One day you are feeling like you can't die, then the next you are Nikita's Suka, and everytime you load in, he pulls you down to the ground. PvE in my opinion should be in every Extraction Shooter, not only for the people that don't want to have to fight others that have 10x the time on the account or use the broken "Metas" that all modern games have to have, but a sense of being about to have fun with something that is hard to pick up from day one.

there are areas where PMCs never seem to go. I've never seen anyone in D2 for example. Scavs can roam the dome and all the bunkers. eventually if you play the maps dozens of times you start to learn where you never see an AI go

also I've never seen PMCs on the underground warehouse (only scavs and bosses), but as Moon said, they can go into the bunker where you flip the D2 switch

thats one of my criticisms of PVE, the pathing should be expanded AND there should be slightly better AI roaming around (pillagers, for example, they stay put in their little zones) so to give more randomness in the long term

Yeah, it really depends where the boos is and your spawn. If they are at stronghold and you spawned North or North-West it isn't that bad... you have multiple approaches and cover if you want to get intimate
