My best-prized tactic was to approach their base from the village side, get on a car and check their emplacements like machine guns or GL's

or you could just rock an SVD or TKPD

Some notable spawns are the liquor store, the path to the tunnel, in front of the Transit to Streets (Flare extract), Cafe, Right outside of the garage entrance, and also in front of Natakani

Look at your Achievements tab in-game on your character, not on Steam. If its not listed there to be achieved, unclaimed or otherwise, then you can't do it in PvE. For example, "Finding the plane in Woods as a PMC", is not.. for some reason.

Its just buggy, because Tarkov's settings are busted - so you have to set it up right.
