"DM FUCKER" really? lol
By the looks of it he won’t be fucking any dms
Any programmers available to help with some dart:flutter code
Ai isn’t doing its job and my brain is melted so I can’t think
type your issue and someone will help you
Implementing standard deviation into a dataset - i have no problem doing it in python, I just can’t seem to understand what the hell to do in dart
What's the issue? I mean the formula is pretty simple.
Bet there are even libraries you can use
https://github.com/hydrophobis/Coding/blob/main/c/fib.cpp
Would you guys consider these methods to be cheating? (computing fib numbers in 1 second). For one I’m forcing the CPU into boost mode and two I am technically just searching for a number that could be found in one second using the exact same algorithm since it just binary searches for it but idk what do you guys think?
context?
cheating on what?
calculating as many fibonacci numbers as possible in 1 second
my point is would you guys count that as 1 second despite the fact that it’s technically more than one second of runtime?
Anyone need help in programming concepts, can DM me.
aight I had a quick look over the code; I guess the question is: what exactly are the rules? is this for some competition with defined rules? also what do you mean by binary search in this context?
Got it figured out 2 mins after sending this message lol
Which concepts ?
Anything that you're struggling with.
In case you're trying to break into programming.
Why does it feel like I am sensing math here an I going to be using math to Code?
well you are not planning on writing optimized fibonacci code, are you?
oh wait that was a different thing
thats statistics stuff
Bro I don't know anything about Fibonacci, I just want to learn Cyber security so I can do ethical hacking and have sound knowledge to develop website and minor apps but majorly my aim is ethical hacking
As a Job though that why I am learning. So I can get paid and help my life
yeah u dont need to write optimized fib for cyber
Thank God!
So python can still be used for optimized fib too?
And what is optimized fib
?
unlikely
python is not a language you would use for max speed
Understanding the math and how to build a repeatable process is essential to good cybersecurity practices. Implementing simple algorithms, like a fibonacci generator, is a good first step to understanding how development works and why programming is a key part of a sane software development practice.
This is deep not going to lie
I will push myself
Pls is elite book 840 G8 core i7 16gb ram 512 SSD windows 11. Is it good for coding? And this cyber work
if it can run windows 11 it can code fine
Thanks bro, oh my I just watched Cyber mentor YouTube vids how to hack and my Brian is confused

Am looking to learn Python and was checking out a few resources. FreeCodeCamp recently added an updated Python course to their FullStackDev path. Also compared it to Harvard’s CS50Python and University of Helsinki’s Intro to Programming with Python and I’ve gotta say Helsinki came out on top.
Anyone else have experience with these resources? What’s worked best for you?
I am learning 2 languages: first Python and second Bash, so please guide me how to start easily
If you are new to programming then I'd suggest, you learn the programming concepts first with python. Other languages will have mostly the same concepts but different syntax.
while learning python should i directly learn to code or first base functions
Yeah I wish someone explained this to me when I first took an interest. I probably would have started learning python sooner.
Pls if I want to focus on web3 security which programming language should I use
Spyder
j/k idk 🙂
Pls should I just learn python first or I need to learn html and css with java before python
They are different things, you can learn them in either order
.
the first two you can pick up easily in a day or two
Yo.
Good day all
You need to verify to upload GIFs
Personally, I learned Java before I learned Python. It worked out well for me because Java is much more rigid and statically typed than Python that it helped me understand certain concepts better. Also, moving from Java to Python has a sense of freedom. Also also, learning Java helped me get by in C and C++ and Kotlin
Python is for absolute beginners same html and css Java is more Challenger different syntax
Try codedex
hi guys
anyone know about how to do penetration testing for web application
It totally depend on your end goal. Since we are on a cybersecurity community, i will tailor my answer with that in mind.
If we are strictly talking about sysadmin/cybersecurity in general, python, ruby and go are quite popular ;
- Python has a very huge amount of library and tool that can be used in cybersecurity.
- There are many tool written in Ruby, where if you want to write plugin, you may need to use Ruby. For example, metasploit, but also many Infrastructure as code tool like Vagrant, puppet, chef...
- Go has more and more usecase, many big library, especially to spin up / write quick fast dirty server software (For example, if you need to make a quick http server). IF I remember well, there was even a clone of cyberchef made in go
If we are talking about low level stuff, for example malware analysis/crack me CTF / binary exploitation, of course C/C++/Assembly/Rust are important to get familiar with, but even there, Go/Zig/Nim/Crystal are becoming somewhat important as malware writter also start using those more exotic compiled language.
Java is more like a jack of all trade / good at none. Its not bad, but won't be the tool of choice for most of cybersecurity. You can definitely use Java to code some small utility, but there won't be as much library for it for cybersecurity related task as Python/Ruby/Go, and it won't help malware analysis/binary exploitation. But at the end of the day, as long as you learn one of the mainstream language, and get your feet wet, learning other language won't be too hard.
HTML/CSS are not really programming language, but more describing language to describe how thing look like/are structured. If you want to focus more on Web stuff, you should focus on (Backend : Go, Python, Javascript, Ruby), Frontend ( Javascript, Typescript, HTML, CSS), Database (MySQL/PostreSQL config, SQL language)
my name is in this wall
You can always go learn it from tryhackme.com
Hello
Ur new here aren't u?
@upbeat frost
Scammer
i have been learning python for a few months already. i now want to focus specifically on learning python for cybersecurity and penetration testing but i couldnt find any resources online to learn.
Any suggestions , advice and resources would help me out a lot
try codedex I found it to be a really nice resource to learn coding
u can do the first few basic lessons for free but after that u need to pay for certain topics but those topics can be easily learned thru youtube and their whole intermediate python course is free
any resources specifically for penetration tetsing and cybersecurity like networking with python ?
there are courses on tryhackme for that i also remembers learning from a vid on youtube called python for hackers
ohh ok thanks
check this out bro
thanks a lot bro

Hey, i need some help. I lost an old account and im going crazy trying to recover it. I was wondering if there is any server with people who work with it. Sorry if it seems weird i have 0 experience with both hack and discord but i figured maybe i could find some help here, and i saw that youre in a hacking servidor. Pls pls pls someone help me out 😩😩😩
It might be tricky as folks here have no means to verify that you are indeed the owner of the account. Have you tried to submit a ticket to the proper support team?
I'm nut sure I'd even suggest submitting one after their breach 🤣
hey I want one or two coders for making and project for fun .. Is anyone interested dm me
What’s the project
Rather odd combination of tooling if i say so myself
Hi 👋 everyone please am new here
Does anyone know how to get into someone Snapchat if you can for free it would be much appreciated and I would pay you some time next week when I have money
Are you looking for hacking services?
Because that's illegal we can't help you with it.
Bro you’re going to get the server shut down
Thankfully since the mod team here always handles things like this quickly, this server likely won’t get shut down

Bit random question, does anyone know if theres a way to effectively block the new OpenAI atlas browser? Shockingly they have not added an opt out mode to it
I have around 6 years experience doing backend for video games and want to explore cyber security, what are good exercises I can do to build skills for it
I need help because this homework hacksafe.tech
We cannot help with homework
By exercises are you asking for things to program or just anything to do to get an intro to the field?
I want some challenges that would build my skillset
really whatever
Why bro ?
you would learn more by researching about the homework topic and possibly apply it to future problems.

Will someone tell me what I should do, become a pentester or a social analyst? My coding skills are not good but I wanted to do something in life. Everyone in my class used to make fun of me saying that you will not do anything in life, that is what broke my confidence. I felt that I will not be able to do anything, someone please give me confidence or guide me please.
People are sometimes mean to those who don't act like them, and say mean things whenever they can to discourage them, because even without realizing it, they are afraid that they will somehow be more successful than them.
The bad part is that there will always be people like that, whether in childhood, adolescence, or adulthood. Letting words from people who don't care about you or don't know you control your life will make your life miserable.
Thanks for giving your's valuable time I do work hard and prove my self
Anytime my friend, I'm praying for you to succeed. Feel free to DM anytime.
Thanks
newb question here anyone have expirience with kali-whoami ? i know its fairly old but is it worth running or is it any good ? seen someone say that when a os connects to your ip first even if you run a changer/vpn it can easily be uncovered because of some logs or something and i always assumed any free program wouldn't be as good as a actual service ? but then i think in a hypothetical situation that if certain individuals where to push hard enough a vpn service would sell you out

Hello, what is the best programming language for building kernel level malware and exploit development.
C/Assembly ofc but if u want some new, modern and with memory safety then def go with rust

I'm adding a logic for my Selfmade common vuln automation, where if it's able to bypass 403 it takes a snapshot...
But I still keep getting the 403 page...
Do I actually need to setup a port connection similar to burpsuite to get the reflected data?
I can see that it does go through when bypassing though..

I was trying to use something like this: @custom-variant dark(&:where(.dark, .dark));
But it looks like Tailwind doesn’t accept that syntax.
Does anyone know the correct way to define a custom variant for dark mode in Tailwind v4+?
Hi Everyone
I just need some info about software cracking so if anyone wants to help please DM me
@custom-variant dark (&:where(.dark, .dark *)); should work
then i believe
@theme {

}
@layer base {
:root {
@variant dark {
--color-bg: black;
}
}
}
Can some1 help me with a jython script rq please?

what are you supposed to do?
So I spent the money on a Udemy BASH course and am working through it, what you think the ROI is on learning it? I’m gonna learn it anyway out of curiosity but..
Hi, does anyone know how to use python to edit the text in a photo?
Aren't there any online tools for that
What is about?
hi,so i'm giving programming a shot and i'm attempting to generate a random number between 0 and whatever i put inside (max), if any of you have time to have a look, i'd like to learn ways to make this code less horrible:
const btn = document.getElementById("btn");
function criarNumeroAleatorio(max) {
return Math.floor(Math.random() * max);
}
function mostrarNumeroAleatorio() {
console.log(criarNumeroAleatorio(500));
}
btn.addEventListener("click", mostrarNumeroAleatorio);
this is js btw
english naming conventions would be nice
criarNumeroAleatorio = createRandomNumber
mostrarNumeroAleatorio = showRandomNumber
That's against supercell's TOS
please don't discuss it here

Hi I am Naruto Uzumaki... Can anyone help me out with C and assembly concepts and cryptography in practical too
Key topics
Registers
Stack & stack frames
Calling conventions
MOV, PUSH, POP, JMP, CALL instructions
How C code translates to assembly
How to write simple assembly functions
Inline assembly inside C programs
We can do practical examples like:
Writing a “sum of two numbers” in assembly
Calling an assembly function from C
Understanding compiled C → assembly output
Ok thanks will search for them... But can anyone give me cheatsheet... Like easy 😎 and superfast way to digest all the concepts
okay i will inbox u broski
Doesnt exist for the you're asking about.
hello guys 🥹 i am in desperate need for a front end code of a chat application ....... can anyone help me
hello
Wdym exactly ?
does it take a lot of time to learn those ? I just know python very well anything else just somd basics
Hello it is day 3 of me learning C
anyone know how learning C will translate into effectively using Ghidra (binary reversing tool).

anyone there
yeah
Do you by chance have any experience with c++?
hola
Yes well i had never thought of how to do this but i cant seem to do it for a class i have to make where in a 2d array we can use like [][] to get a element of that nested array right anyhow i havent been able to see how its implemented since when you make the operator[] in the class it only allows for one param, maybe overload the operator idk
maybe if you know
#include <vector>
class Array2D {
private:
std::vector<std::vector<int>> data;
public:
Array2D(size_t rows, size_t cols) : data(rows, std::vector<int>(cols)) {}
// Proxy type representing a single row
class Row {
private:
std::vector<int>& rowRef;
public:
Row(std::vector<int>& r) : rowRef(r) {}
int& operator[](size_t col) {
return rowRef[col];
}
};
// operator[] returns a Row object
Row operator[](size_t row) {
return Row(data[row]);
}
};
Not as simple as it is with python, I made gpt get the answer
I can't make sense of this as i don't know vectors
ahh no worries thank you i had a friend smack my brain to understand it lmao, thank you anyways.

If you had to deal with Android Studio, how would you do it? Better yet, if you had to create an Android app from the ground up, how would you do it? what language would you use? Python? I'm tempted to scrap what I have and use Python
co ask
?
to elaborate, I don't mean "step by step instructions, how do i create an app"
I mean "what language is best for creating an android app because Android Studio is kicking my tail"
so what language would you use? Python? I'm tempted to scrap what I have and use Python
@heady fog
Try python or java or flutter and dart
thank you!
If you need any help with java or dart then send it in and @ me - I'll help to the best of my ability
isn't Kotlin THE language for Android Apps, unless you go for C/C++?
Java is the intended language for the Android Studio. The language itself is relatively simple. There are other options if you prefer a totally different environment, like some the app IDEs that are basically a webview that renders your app inside a sandboxed browser. That's a good method if you want to develop an app that will run on many platforms, but honestly, the simplest thing is to just learn Java first, then work your way into Android app dev.
If you are just learning how to program, Android is a huge leap to get into from zero background.
Either way, get comfortable with Java first, and then you'll have a stronger foundation to understand all the complexities of the Android environment.
Thank you!
Gave +1 Rep to @winter patio (current: #3283 - 1)
I know Java! I could absolutely program the app i am thinking of in Java alone if I had a decent-ish replacement for JavaFX. But Android Studio is a whole different beast! Java is so not the problem!
Yes it is! My understanding of kotlin is the folks who made it stripped out all the good stuff and repackaged it so... oracle? I think it's oracle? Can't sue them into the ground
make operator [] return the corresponding array which can then be indexed since it should be a C++ array
Kotlin was essentially created, developed, and adopted by Google/Android in response to Oracle's control over Java.
Here's a decent resource on learning Kotlin and Android Studio. I took this class a couple years ago and it was one of my favorite in my CS degree. The professor posts all his notes online and they are publicly available. He also lists a healthy amount of reading links to support the notes. They're on the right side of the page in the "Course Topics" section.

Thank you so much! And yeah. I think it's funny that one monopoly looked at another monopoly and went "Whoa, getting a little tight there, arentcha?"

Kotlin is developed by JetBrains, Google is Go.
Do you know Gradle too? Have you done any of the hello world tutorial/demo apps?
Yes, that wasn't the clearest sentence. Thanks for the clarification.
Gave +1 Rep to @undone cipher (current: #3284 - 1)
I do not know Gradle as well, no. I have been working through the tutorials. I think what's tripping me up is how the Java used fits the mobile device aspect of the program. It's just something to get used to and I'm not adjusting as quickly as I'd hoped I would.

Anyone interested in helping me with a few reverse engineering projects. Willing to teach.
All are game development related, some of the topics you may find interesting here, include x86 assembly, C/C++, java and android studio, .net and C#, cryptography, game client development, server development, and of course git, SQL, standardized design patterns, etc.
You are not expected to do or know how to do all of these things. There are many ways you can work with me and contribute. Only qualification I ask for is familiarity with code, and a learning mindset, or a collaborative mindset if you don't need so much hand holding.
I'm interested

Is it fraud if I know the basics of "this function will get that result" and kind of know how to implement said function but still need to do a lot of research?
Because I have an app I'm trying to build and I'm familiar enough with the language to know what I need for broad strokes, and even how to implement it, but the specifics are dragging their feet and I feel like a fraud.
Also, if I wanted to build a custom calendar app, using a library would require permission and credit, right?
Research is an integral part of programming, no matter how much is needed
Depends on how the library is licensed and how they want attribution
Thank you for your answers! This helps a lot
of course
I mean it's not like you have to advertise it but if someone asked "oh howd you do this" it's fine to just say "oh I used this library to yadda yadda"
Real world example, I'm reverse engineering a game client from an MMO to make my own game server for it. The client uses cryptography to encrypt packets before sending them and decrypts packets before receiving them. They use a modified blowfish cipher for this. I could implement this myself, sure. Or I can not reinvent the wheel and just use bouncycastle a .net cryptography library that has several different ciphers and cryptography tools to make working with this easier.
No problem there, I'm not building a cryptography tool so it's not "cheating"
If you're building a bouncycastle copy and it's literally just using bouncy castle than yea that's cheating lol
Thanks pal
I'm building a full-featured calendar that's not tied to a flippin Google account but with features that will make my adhd easier to deal with.
So if I come across something useful for a calendar, I'll likely have to credit it.
Because there are absolutely calendar libraries out there but it feels weird to say "I used this calendar library and added to it for my app, here's the credit"
what kind of library do you need for a calendar? I imagine it wouldnt be terribly hard to do yourself
There are existing libraries that stand alone as their own calendars, presumably for their author's projects.
Because Android offers a calendarview and all the pieces to make a calendar, but you do in fact have to putted together yourself. Which is what I'm going to do. I want my calendar to be something people don't have to log into,if they don't want to, for starters.
"I imagine it would be hard to do it yourself"
I know how to get the dates into a for loop to display. I know what the grid needs to look like. I know, technically, how to make the grid. I do not know how to get the for-loop-dates onto the grid, in a way that resembles a calendar. Presumably through use of another for loop and spacing involving modulos.
Wanna try it in Android Studio and see if we can compare notes?
There seems to be a misunderstanding. I meant that it wouldnt be hard. However, I do not know how to use Android Studio nor do i intend on learning lol
Anyway if you want a little help with the loops I can probably give you the general idea
Fair enough
Please? Modules are Not Working right now for some reason.
Modules?

hey guys i want to know how to link a data base sql with a website using a server or api the website front end is ready and the database is ready but the only problem is the backend and the linking process between both
I am assuming by frontend, you mean the UI to which the user interacts with and if that is the case, you’ll be needing a backend layer between that and your database. I’m not a dev so others can chime in but usually, you’d implement an abstraction layer using an ORM to translate your DB schema and other stuff into “code”.
Then you’ll be needing to expose relevant API endpoints, set up proper authentication and authorization (assuming this is some project that requires AuthZ and AuthN).
Made this landing page sort of website inspired by tryhackme rooms
https://jimster53.github.io/pwnadelphia
it’s in my GitHub repo and still a work in progress but wanted to share.
i made a fivrr account put in a username but a random password and signed out. this might be a dumb question but is there any way to find the password hash from the outside?
Most likely not
does anyone know if its legal to hack the password to my account useing the tool "hydra"
No
If the account is new, you can make another one if there is nothing much you’ll lose
theres nothing in the account
i made it so i could try to hack it
do you know if its always illegal
Read the TOS of the service. It's much more likely than not that attacking an account you "own" is against their policy and may result in civil or even criminal liability.
ok great ty

hello guys i need some help with learning python scripting in depth. i want to learn how to make my own scripts to automate tasks like username enumeration, port scanning etc and create some projects along the way. does anyone know any decent free material to study this from? i have basic understanding in python and want to level up my scripting skills
I'd say to use GPT to help you achieving that. You can get the script you want, tweak it, and then ask GPT to explain the idea of each line.
thats a good idea

do you know if there is a tutorial on THM to access via rdp? My current task need me to access a user but it never got explained

Ah i got it. I had to connect in the Machine itself
I thought i have to use it on my own PC. But wouldtn it be possible to use rdp on my local pc to connect to the Machine on THM?
Well doesnt seem like the password provided does not work
Ah thank you. It worked. But is it possible to use my local pc to connect on the provided machine?
As windwos user you have a software called remote desktop connection
This makes it possible to use a IP to remotetely connect to another PC viewing its Screen
Im currently in cyber security 101 (winadbasics) room
I didnt see the use of using this Software to connect to the very same PC just to performa a login on another user on this PC.
Therefore i thought i have to use my local PC to connect to this instance, which ofc doesnt work since I'm not part of the network my provided machine is in
well done!

What kind of programms?
Hey, my background is in Information Systems with a focus in networking, but I have always had an itch for programming since high school, where I attempted to make my first game. What is a good way to break into that side of tech so I can bridge the two?
I'm kind of in a weird spot. Should I go back to school to get a CS degree, or should I just go down the network security route, which isn't bad, but that programming itch just keeps getting louder and louder. I'm in process of strengthening my python and c++ knowledge, while I continue to home lab and work towards networking and security certs.
guys can someone tell me is it harmful mistake?

it is not serious for normal industry
but it is serious for blockchain industry
why becuase
The blockchain accepts a transaction message that contains a value of 0 without checking if it is valid. Later, the system tries to use this value in calculations or state updates, and using 0 can cause errors or invalid behavior. When this happens during block processing, the node can throw an error and stop running, which may crash the blockchain node.
far more serious, in a blockchain context the sloppy validation can easily escalate into node crashes
Thats what i am saying
yeah, either way though the code itself is quite sloppy, wouldn't want to see it in any prod environment
@lilac holly
i have one other code can you explain can it read or write memory?
sure, I can have a quick look
if ((vectors[idx].in_use) && (result == PSA_SUCCESS)) {
for (int i = 0; i < vectors[idx].out_len; i++) {
vectors[idx].original_out_vec[i].len =
vectors[idx].out_vec[i].len;
}
}
it writes to memory but only within the defined buffers
safety depends on whether the bounds (idx, out_len) are guaranteed elsewhere
You’ve given me the inspiration to remake my blockchain in a random language for the laughs
Im thinking Java

Hello group,
I’m looking for someone experienced in ethical hacking or cybersecurity who’s willing to teach or mentor me for free. I’m a beginner, motivated, and interested in learning the right and legal way. Any help or guidance is appreciated.
text="hello world"
print(text[::-1]) .can you explain the meaning of that trick if we wanna make an inversion for the text
because i didn't understand it deeply
Guys, I was wondering which all languages you would suggest in this domain, i.e, cybersecurity in general. ( except Python and bash) and pls also mention where that particular language will come in handy.
JS and SQL are pretty handy when it comes to Web exploiting
If you think more about network pentesting then having some background in Powershell will also be useful
And if you wish to go more low-level to ex. malware analysis or development you should most definitely learn C/C++/Rust
It will display this string in reverse
Who know how to use Phython?
Don't ask to ask, just ask
Ok
I do Computer Science at school and since I don't know perfectly how to use it, can someone Explain a little bit about it?
Also, we're talking about Python here right?
Yeah
it's a programming language that is used to create plenty of cool things. To use it, you need to install its interpreter or overall and IDE
Ok thanks

Anyone using JavaScript/Typescript here?
Can anyone recommend a roadmap for learning ethical hacking? Or a repo guide on GitHub?
OWASP stuff is always good
i dont think they have a roadmap per say but they are very web security focused
@unborn ember learn your basics, web fundamentals on THM is good road to go down. and portswigger also good. then practice on this https://pentest-ground.com:4280/ its DVWA but online version.
https://pentest-ground.com/ theres also other sites too.
Appreciate it guys. Gonna add it to my learning list.

Guys I am in my final year of Computer Engineering.I’m wondering what project I should do for my last year. Sometimes I think about making a full malware analysis tool, but the dots aren’t connected in my head yet.
My Best Suggestion, u Should Try That Project For Ur Last Year Project - Malware Behavior Analysis
Building a full malware analysis tool is very difficult. When people hear "full", they usually think of an end2end system that does everything.
this may not be realistic for a final year project and can cause confusion
therefore it makes more sense to develop a well defined (core) malware analysis tool that performs basic analysis tasks
yo im looking for a group of people that are willing to hop on vc everyday work together and grow together find ways to make more money of start making money

hey guys. i’ve been learning python both in school and in my personal time. i study computer science for cybersecurity at school.
Problem is i’ve learned the basics of python like variables if else, for loops and just the overall basics of it. but now i don’t know which one to go to next. if anyone could provide like a learning chart for python i’d appreciate it because every youtube i watch points at a different direction
After basics (variables, if/else, loops), the best next path is:
-> Core Python
Lists, dicts, sets
Functions & file handling
Try/except (errors)
-> Intermediate Python
OOP (classes & objects)
Modules & pip
List/dict comprehensions
-> Python for Cybersecurity
os, sys, subprocess
requests, socket, re
Hashing (hashlib)
-> Practice with small projects
Password checker
Port scanner
File hash checker
Great list kudos

Orr w3schools?
The platform is irrelevant. What matters is you are learning something.
I find that brocode explains things better (especially for beginners), but w3schools and freecodecamp are both very organized and standardized
I see
Thanks guys
You are right, of course.

Yo can anyone help me find a way to make a secure web server that's fast and can store data for web apps and games? I'm trying to make a multiplayer version of my web game and all I know how to use for this is GS code and google sheets for data
anyone know how to create a mod tool ?
Is there any way to safely store data on frontend in JavaScript(extension)? Things like keys or something.
The main way to secure information is by taking the data, adding a salt, and hashing it. Store the hashed data, and store the salt.
Once you have data that needs to be tested, you take the data, add the salt, and see if the hash it generates is equal to the hash you have stored, if it isn't, it's the wrong data. If it is, you're good.
Preferably btw, you store the salt on a seperate server, in case if your main hash server is exposed your salts aren't also exposed.
If you want it fast, got use web assembly lol personally idk enough about it but I know that's how you do it, also this YouTube video goes into a bunch of awesome tips on saving speed in a website https://youtu.be/-Ln-8QM8KhQ?si=O4b8QPAebE4SS-g2
I would guess a cookie? Assuming there's no website trying to harvest it lol
Thanks, but I also meant safe from the user
Gave +1 Rep to @lethal hare (current: #3585 - 1)
You'd need an encryption lol
You can still store it in a cookie, but the data would be scrambled without the proper algorithm
Yeah, but if everything is in-browser, the encryption would be too, so they theoretically could decrypt it.
From my point it feels impossible, but still hope there is a way
Unless you calculate the salt server side, send it over and do the encryption with the data
Doesn't matter if they have the algorithm, they would need the server side salt
That's what I thought, that the server side is required anyway
Thanks again
Ahhh you want it all done in the users side
Without any interaction right
That's harder, but doable, just not impossible to break through
You can't guarantee 100% user side everything + 100% security, it's kinda why they brought up kernel level anti cheat
If you want security, you need a server side situation going on, completely 100% user you can only obfuscate and do complicated diy encryption algorithms
you could theoretically use Google Apps Script for this. I allows you to make a webapp for free that you could post to that and you wouldnt have to worry about the user being able to decrypt it. The main problem with this is that GAS has like 2-5 seconds of latency per call
Idk what salting a website is/does. How th do I do it 😭
Not salting a website, salting a hash. You are just adding extra text to the end of the object you are hashing to make it significantly harder to crack
OH ok
Hello guys I’m new

Hey everyone, I'm practicing a basic Python reverse shell between two Windows machines in my local network (Lab setup). I'm hitting a wall where the connection won't establish.
Setup:
• Attacker (PC): Windows 10/11, IP 192.168.0.100, Listener running on Port 4444.
• Target (Laptop): Windows, same Subnet.
• Code: Using a standard socket and subprocess.Popen script.
The Problem:
• When I run the listener, it says 'Listening...'.
• When I run the client on the laptop, the CMD remains empty and eventually closes without a connection being shown on the listener.
• I suspect my AV (ESET) or Firewall might be silently dropping the packets even when paused.
What I've tried:
- Verified IP connectivity with ping (works).
- Fixed the socket.AF_INET attribute errors.
- Paused ESET Firewall on the host.
- Checked netstat on the host, Port 4444 is indeed LISTENING.
Has anyone dealt with ESET silently blocking local socket connections even when paused? Or is there a specific Windows 'App & Browser Control' setting I might be missing? Thanks!
Isn't Windows 11 dropping packets by default when they are not specifically white-listed? Try to do the Test-NetConnection between machines on the target port
I will take a look at it tomorrow and get back to you if it hasn’t resolved itself by then.
But thanks

I definitely wouldnt recommend it for “any” cs field but it is pretty versatile. I think I still have a live boot USB somewhere but i havent used it in a long time. Also i would NEVER use kali as my main os and realistically no one should.

Explain your use case ?
I guess Hydra is a good one?
brute forcing what
Twitter login
I got hacked and I’ve been contacting twitter support for two weeks and nothing
It’s not the password I was gonna see if I could brute force the password reset pin
Yknow when they send a code to your email to reset your password
yeah not going to work
probably also illegal to try
doesnt matter
thats the usual argument
will still be against tos
Also I checked, on the usual login page after a few tries it will kick you off but on the support page for the pin it doesn’t
also probably illegal
Maybe against tos, why would it be illegal 😭
im not a legal expert, but all sorts of pentesting-like things (on things you don't fully own) are legally difficult / illegal
Would twitter even care lol
about people trying to brute force accs?
probably, yeah
Would twitter even care if you … literally were trying to hack into an account?
I’m trying to “hack” back into my account
I’ve been sending support tickets to twitter for two weeks, I’ve sent 8 so far, and they send back this same “we can’t verify you as the owner of the account” even though it’s been the same email for 5 years
its not “hack” though. You are literally attempting to hack it
So
So hacking can be illegal in many of not most cases
Yeah, i agree on not any cs field and not using it as your main os
what's best os for hacking?
I recommend a Kali VM
Does anyone use windows command prompt 😭
What's your question?
Kali is the standart

Hey everyone, I was recently thinking about supply chain attacks and how to mitigate them, and ended up with attack vector that I feel I was not able to mitigate to a satisfactory level, VSCode/VSCodium extensions. They are not sandboxed and thus can compromise your whole system. I considered using other code editors (like zed) but they have similar problems (zed downloads LSP binaries without permission instead of using already installed ones from the package manager). As of now I am only using extensions from reputable companies/organizations, but I would like to further harder this.
How do you handle/mitigate this?
I really only have extensions from Microsoft since they provide Java and C++ extensions and thats mostly all that I need
programming in what part?
it's a huge scope
there's front end (which isn't very cyber), back end (can be written in almost any lang), and then there's databases (SQL), and automation scripts (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
on top of that, there are general security concepts like SQLi and there are also language specific concerns such as race conditions resulting from asynchronous operations.
hi guy when i am leaning ThreadPoolExecutor & ProcessPoolExecutor i think if Process create paralel process for execution while Thread just like sequential but without waiting for server to response so why i see so many request task using thread instead of process
cuz in any cases process will be faster right?
Idk what this is in reference to, but a process is completely different to a thread. I think it's Python after a quick Google, but a process will be completely separate in memory, separate from each other's execution threads, and will each have a unique PID. whereas a thread is under the same process, same memory, same priority.
both are concurrent in nature, and in some ways a process may be more efficient than a thread and vice versa, but 9/10 times you want a thread.
and typically the 1/10 times is for permissions sake. (this is just in general, not specific to Python)
Actually the context was i try to create python code to brute force pin code in hammer room
Then after amount of research i realize threads are better at dealing with request due to sending instead of waiting
I try to do it with process but it not fast as thread cuz each process have to wait even though i open lots of process (my ram almost dead ::( )
Honestly W

Set up a cache of binaries that you want. Scan the binaries. Block / get rid of any suspicious ones. Use versions that are 1 month old so the community has a chance to catch stuff you miss. Then, turn off VS Code marketplace and start using your cache instead?

Udemy is a solid platform, there are thousands of courses tho so sometimes it might be hard to find something good. Look in the internet for the reviews and most importantly wait for the discount. Hey everyone! Just wanted to share a quick win: I’ve successfully modified the Samsung Galaxy M12 stock kernel to support Docker and native containerization. It’s now a fully functional, pocket-sized Linux server! 🐧
The Mod
To get Docker running, I recompiled the kernel to enable:
cgroups & Namespaces (for process isolation)
Veth & IPtables (for container networking)
Optimization for 24/7 background stability.
Why i did this?
Built-in UPS: The 5000mAh battery acts as a natural backup—no downtime during power blips.
Ultra-Efficient: ARM architecture uses way less power than a traditional PC.
Sustainability: Perfect way to repurpose hardware into a home lab node.
Use Cases
It’s a great way to save money on cloud hosting for small projects!
Anyone else here experimenting with "Mobile-to-Server" projects?

learning programmation at regular school always suck x)
no i wanna make like payload scripts (to understand them)
YES I know especially when they only care about grades than actual progress
Usually what my university does goes like this:
Go over the entire material briefly with little to no practical examples during the lecture, during the lab we work instantly without having any prior experience from the lecture. Get pressured alot and make the entire environment just a pain. Ive even asked alot of Y4s they all said "all I want is to get out of this hellhole"
And the exams bruh
They're asking 100x what they give
im not a fan of complaining but this is a genuine issue here in egypt

Hi everyone,
I could really use some advice from experienced software developers/Programmers. I’m currently finishing my bachelor’s degree and working as a student alongside my studies. I want to shift my focus more towards software development, but so far I’ve only been getting rejections despite the experience I’ve gained.
Would anyone be willing to give me some constructive feedback on my CV? I feel like I might be missing something, and I’d really appreciate any help or honest input
What’s your bachelors in? Software engineering is still very hard to get a job in especially depending on experience, certs, and degrees
Im doing information systems right now. Planning on doing CS master
Integrated
I work as a working student in software testing as of now
QA
I don’t like it at all
My grades got worse due to some modules in finance
Honestly I would say one’s ability to demonstrate that you know how to do things and have made developments in your skill etc will have a higher impact than that experience, although its still good to include
If you dont know what your skills are then how would you communicate your skills to a hirer? If you dont know that yourself i would say you maybe need to play around with stuff some more
I guess analytical thinking could be one
At what point would software engineering not fit to a person?
Most people could do software engineering if they have the right knowledge probably
I dont think its a question of whether or not you can but rather when will you be able to
Im sorry. I went to sleep afterwards. It truly is a question of ability. I thank you still for your time and effort here.

ctf writeupts
even display some of your web development directly
depends on what your experienced in though
Web dev and Pentester
Isn't the best (and really the only sensible) way to work on an actual project? If you are looking to make a portfolio there is no sense to have it all green while there is no content. Focus on actual projects - if you want to develop web dev portfolio - write simple websites, systems, web applications etc. If you want to build your pentesting portfolio - create writeups, reports of pentesting activities, tutorials etc.
Yeah no like not ALL green but like most cause some devs dont get accepted because of their
uh portfolios
It all depends what area of cybersecurity you want to get into - but sooner or later you are going to get into some types of data structures or algorithms. The best way? Probably follow a course on programming. If you really want to dig deep into data structures, then probably c with implementing your own data structures. You will learn what they are, how they work, how to manage memory around them etc.
Im just looking for github project ideas
Make an application related to your interests. If you are interested in cooking - a web cookbook with search, adding recipies, rating them, commenting etc. If you are RPG geek - a roll simulator or something more ambitious like full character creator or encounter generator
Hello everyone pls who is into c++

does someone where i can find promotion codes for tryhackme payment?
Try ChatGPT. I got somewhere from 30%-40% off. Totaling around ~$45 knocked off. I use it every time for all kinds of related things.
I'm 14 in the UK and like making websites I want a way to get money I've already asked my mum about fiver and she said no so can I have some advice pls
Building something that handles file uploads? Most pipelines skip antivirus entirely. pompelmi wraps ClamAV in a single scan() call for Node.js — returns Clean/Malicious/ScanError, zero deps, works locally or via Docker sidecar. https://github.com/pompelmi/pompelmi
How can I get money from that though and I want a monthly amount of money also I'm not sure my mum will let me do something like that she says I'm unprofessional
if you are 14 and not super experienced in computer science stuff, i think it's pretty unrealistic to get money from it; most realistic option is probably making simple websites for people; however that also comes with a certain amount of responsiblity; and a lot of people nowadays might just try to do this themselves with claude or sth
you could ask people you know; but if your mother is against this in general, which i get, not sure what to say here
hi guys! im 14 and just finished the Cyber 101 path, so I decided to build a basic system auditor in Python to practice. It checks for memory usage and flags 'ghost' network connections that aren't browsers. I used some help from Google and AI to get the socket logic right. Would anyone mind taking a look at the code and letting me know if there's a better way to filter the process names? https://github.com/Oliver-Sec/System-Auditor
Any feedback helps alot!!
might be fun, but if the goal is actually making money, that's going to be a hard and unreliable road
Since Fiverr is a no go you should definitely try reaching out to local businesses directly. You can find a lot of small shops or tradespeople like plumbers or gardeners in your area that have really old websites or maybe just a Facebook page. Try sending them a DM on Instagram or Facebook or even just find their email and send a professional message.
Another good shout is joining your local town or village Facebook groups. You can post in there saying you are a local student offering to build websites for small businesses to help them get online.
It is definitely a bit of a struggle though. I used to sell websites too but honestly it is getting harder because everyone thinks they can just use AI to do it themselves for free. You really have to outsell yourself and explain why a custom site is better than something a robot made.
So do I just walk into a takeaway and just ask myself
i don't know what that means
So I go onto a takeaway and ask if I can build a website for them for a small price
You could but it would feel a little awkward, you can go on google maps, search for who you want to make a website for (e.g plumber, barber, etc) and see if they have anything linked such as a social media page, website, or a phone number.
If they have a website, have a look at what they have, they might have a email contact form somewhere and that way you can contact them, offering your service.
However walking in could increase chances of clients as you can build trust with them straight away.
@fiery sable
Yeah or look if you have family or friends who would like a site
To get started on a little. Portfolio
That would make sense, a portfolio is definitely needed to sell websites so you can show your work and that way customers know what you are capable of.
Have any of you guys tried it before
No not personally, im not really a developer
Yes i have, but it did not really work out for me.
Could work for you though.
There are so many professional buisnesses who specialize in creating websites so it was near impossible for me to offer services to clients.
Did you ask your parents/guardian to advertise for you or did you do it yourself
Do you guys know any other ways that I can get money
all by myself.
There are lots, just think about what you want to do and how much money do you need?
Did you have a card for the payments to go through or did you get people to pay in cash
Maybe ask ur parents to make a PayPal or some other form of payment used in ur country
The thing is iw as going to ask for it once I was getting paid enough so she sees the need for it
Cash would have to be in person, which many people dont do, paypal is free and im pretty sure you dont have to add a card unless you withdraw.
You could earn money on the account, then show your mum and withdraw.

Hi
I need £200+ a month and I don't mind what in doing
As long as my strict parents say yeh
Hello, I need answer to this please,
I am currently building an AI pentest. Let's say teh agent has been working for half an hour running tools and doing stuff and the conversation history is pretty massive, then it decided to open playwright mcp and test website registration, it will have to 1) hit click username field, 2) type username, 3) click password 4)type password, do a bunch of things 5), 6), 7) then finally 8) hit submit. It doesn't make sense to shove the whole history at each iteration (1 to 8), what's the solution for that? What did the engineers of tools like Claude Code do to solve that?
you may want to write the skills.md file and context.md file and break the steps
when the AI is doing a long task it doesn’t keep rereading everything it already did because that would be way too much info and it would slow everything down so instead it kinda keeps a small “note” of where it’s at like a checklist in its head so instead of remembering the whole conversation it just remembers stuff like “ok username done now password next” and it only focuses on the current step so tools like Claude Code basically work by saving the important progress instead of the full history every time so it’s like using sticky notes instead of rereading a whole notebook every single step
It's not really one long task, it's practically separate tasks because it waits for input the re-iterates. It literally considers every new iteration as a completely new session, just with the history included. This is a local agent I developed.
Every iteration is completely separate from the agents pov, it's just fed the history so it knows past context.
Interesting but If each iteration is treated like a full new session with full history attached then yes it works but it scales badly and is unnecessary Production grade agents don’t actually re process the full trajectory each step even if it’s technically included in the prompt They rely on a compressed state + bounded context window strategy where only a summarized working memory current step environment state last action result and plan progress is carried forward while older history is either truncated or distilled into structured memory So instead of re evaluating everything the model is effectively operating on a state machine representation of the task not raw chat history.
Indeed that's the solution I arrived to, context contraction when reaching a certain threshold while keeping the last ~4 messages verbatim.
Yeah that approach is valid 👍
Keeping a sliding window of the last few messages verbatim compressing older context once you hit a threshold is basically the standard baseline.
😱

Me too🥲

let it be known
so can the first convo here be about js
alright bee set the topic
Yoo biiooosss
python first
nah js first
so you know js object prototypes
what if your reviewer is automated
how usefull can they be
i actually will lurk here
so this would probably be the most appropriate page to share open-source projects and stuff?
Discuss Java. Go!
It's trash.
nah
Done.
#resources me think
ah okay fair I think I've asked that before but forgot what james said
My first project was in java
so what will be the context of this channel @stone kayak
talking about code
like leetcode, normal scripts, debugging?
Mine was in basic 33 years ago 😛
I don't remember any of that language.
today I found out that java can soft-lock some dynamic PDFs from working in PDF readers besides adobe because of the way Adobe Livecycle works
pretty annoying stuff
IF X = 2 THEN LET X = X + 1 😄
same for me, but only about 22 years
I m student
php bad, now give updoot
@bitter field nice songs sir

Then I ignored computers for 10 years, got lost in gaming for the last 20 and here I am lol.
java has a lot of power on the front-end of pages
ty, did u check my spotify?
I can never find a good enough reason to bother with js.
I've forgotten the little I knew anyway.
java is 🤮
Yeah😅😅
👀
i do most of my programming in python, but have done some js
hate having to remember the ; in js
I need to need learn python atleast A5 intermediate level
you know most of the time the ; isnt needed
I can write you all some half useless shell scripts LoL.
until you break something
yea
I had to pick up another programers code that had left and every time I went to fix it something else broke
sooo anybody doing some juicy programming recently?
i am working with a webrtc turn server..
basically a video streaming app in RN
tho the library is webrtc and it's native.
I haven't had a good project in awhile
I was working on a text based sort of choose your own asdventure thing but I haven't touched it in months.
I loved those books when I was a kid.
ah nice.
what do you guys think about gpl 3 vs 2? also, which licenses do you generally use?
i use MIT.. cause that's the default i think in github lol
I usually just say use it break re write it, just give me ccredit or I keep it to myself.
Whichever that falls under.
I don't like mit, although I like the fact that it exists for those who want it
yeah but that's not a license. sec
I can't keep those straight. @fervent kraken
What r we going to do now?
https://choosealicense.com/no-permission/ this is an interesting read
You’re under no obligation to choose a license and it’s your right not to include one with your code or project. But please note that opting out of open source licenses doesn’t mean you’re opting out of copyright law.
Pretty much if I put it on my github or share it, it's because I don't care what people do with it beyond saying it was theirs or making money off it, close sourcing it in the end.
For the record I have never written anything special in the first place haha.
there are a few licenses that allow that, and pretty much every other one does not
anw, mainly I was hoping to get some feedback on gpl if anyone had an opinion on it
Once the work has other contributors (each a copyright holder), “nobody” starts including you.
That could end up being a big problem when one ends up with no rights to their own project except for little pieces of it.
see, if nothing else, it's interesting 😄
Isn't gpl sort of what I was getting at?
even if you don't care what happens to your stuff
kinda yeah
gpl 2 is: take the code, do whatever you want with it, but if you add improvements to it, give them back
gpl 3 is kind of the same except you're not allowed to distribute closed source version if I understand it correctly
I'm big o nthings being open source and having the right to modify something to my needs.
At the same time I am big on devs getting paid for their work.
free as in freedom not beer lol
yep I got it
well, mit is this, plus I can take your stuff, refine it and sell it, so 🤷♀️
Thats the thing I hate about MIT though.
Anyone can just mod it and sell it without asking lol.
so if I ever put up code, I'd just add a license more by principle than for any other reason
bee if I remember correctly, isn't ciphey gpl v3?

basically a bunch of contributors changed the license like 20 times
...

staph with licensing and get on with programming
bee tell me some interesting problem to solve
are u doing leetcocde?
ciphey is mit, I just checked, my bad
i will restart leetcode to prepare for google
damn .. tell me some interesting problems.
i will make a new account
and do u have like paid acc or free one?
the paid one seems like ripoff to me
my sleepy brain can think of exactly one thing which dp stands for right now
so what do you mean?
right of course
thanks bee. love u
I'll read it up
actually i use binarysearch more now
its more fun
Master algorithms with others on binarysearch. Create a room, invite your friends, and race to finish the problem.
there are like 10 of these sites
Master algorithms with others on binarysearch. Create a room, invite your friends, and race to finish the problem.
this is me
which do you guys prefer?
leetcode, geeksforgeeks
leetcode is industry standard
but i prefer binarysearch for itts community
feels like THM tbh
aloo competitions are in a time i can do them
not at like 4am like leetcode
codechef is nice as well
i really never used codechef that much
but enjoyed that competition one
there is an app.. they will give a question and two ppl will compete.. what is the name!!
umm
no
PRAMP
I am not getting what u guys are saying..
?
TOP CODER
topcoder has an app where u do live coding with an opponent
like Koth for coding. it's fun but nerve wrecking
Why r we discussing interview?
because this is the programming channel
where all discussions of programming are allowed
OK ok
and interview is a big part as well as app dev.
My interview took around 40 minutes.
I am not a Google fan
My minimum rounds were 3rounds around 1hr each. and maximum one was 7 round 1.5hrs each and last one more than 4hrs
neither am i, but I am a fan of £££££££ 🤑 🤑 🤑
yeah no, not saying I'd rather starve, but I can live with less
Thoughtworks has a very good interview process, albeit tough but very good.
some companies in my country right now interview+hire all remote
since this thing is gonna last for a while, here's hoping
otherwise I'm going to canada 😄 lol
R u in GMT PLUS 5:30
Okkk
lmao 530 to canada lmao
I know what you r thinking
I said it semi jokingly; I still have enough time to exhaust all my options
not saying canada isn't nice
sneakpeak
@stone kayak Is that something you are writing?
Yup! 🙂
Be sure to give us a link when you're done I would be interested in reading the rest.
