Also practice on:

Nmap, Enumeration (SMB, FTP, HTTP)
Metasploit basics
Basic Web attacks (SQLi, directory brute forcing)
Some good notes are available on GitHub and GitBook if you search for eJPT study notes.
If you finish these, the eJPT exam should be manageable and PT1 will feel easier later.

From what I understand, Tails is designed to route all traffic through Tor by default, so adding a VPN on top of it might actually introduce new risks — especially if it requires modifying firewall rules, which could potentially lead to leaks if not done correctly.
At the same time, I’ve seen mixed opinions. Some people argue that adding a VPN increases privacy, while others say it just shifts trust from Tor to the VPN provider.
My current thinking is that using a VPN externally (for example via mobile tethering) might be safer than modifying Tails itself, since it keeps Tails’ default security model intact.
