Probably not, it's not easy to just detect whether you're real or not.

Theoretically a website could use whitelisted IP addresses, but it's unlikely they would for 1,000 hunters and it may impact their actual users.

Furthermore, websites get hit by attacks all the time, you just don't see it, and they're not always successful because they're just bots running scripts, so it would make more sense to just secure your website rather than to create an advanced system to detect legit vs attacker.

Websites do have systems in place such as rate limiting, captchas and other various protections. But, you'd be surprised with how some internet users can completely misuse your service and accidentally get themself blocked lmao

Hey guys. I'm a final year college student just thinking about my career. I've done some DSA in python, frontend, learning JS rn. Also I'm studying ML and Data science. I do know ethical hacking (my most proficient skill) and I learned some pentesting on THM.

So lately I was thinking about what I like cuz I'm debating between going Full stack (easy for freshers, or so I'm told), Data science or Cyber. I've realised I love Linux and cyber most. So can someone help figure some things out? Like is it best to pursue now given the job market?

Something I've noticed where I live is that cyber jobs suffer with gatekeeping. They don't really want to train anyone into it, and would rather hire people with years experience and the knowledge of how-to. A bachelor's will get you the interviews lined up, experience will get you the job. Just think about that if you're planning to go blue or red teaming career paths.

Forensics through SOCs and GRC jobs are some of the easier ones to land a first cyber job in, and then grow from there with curiosity and determination.

I actually attribute this to paranoia and creativity. For example, I don't know how to say this, but I am someone who believes that something will come out of everything. For example, while I was monitoring requests for hours, I found a variable like "avatar_url" that I could ssrf. I said to myself directly: "If I hadn't waited so long, what would I do if I couldn't find this?" In other words, there is a way to enumerate everything. For example, I look at port numbers that I don't know about via hacktricks and learn how to enumerate them. For example, I am very good at osint, I think like a company employee. When I think like someone who earns $100k per year, writes code at home and constantly posts stories on Instagram, of course I leave my github repos public just to show off and forget to store my valuable information there

im just starting to learn ethical hacking and my goal is to learn pen testing and do bug bountys for a living im currently doing an electrical isntallation and maintenance apprenticeship and for the next 3 years im wanting to lock in on all my spare time and hopefully become a succesfull bug bounty hunter after i finish how realisitc is this
