OSCP is roughly the global industry standard for a junior pentest position. Different places have different requirements though. India for some ungodly reason still likes CEH, for example. UK requires CHECK for many things so CREST CRT+CPSA or CyberScheme CSTM are the go-tos

Last I checked Sec+ is still a good bet. BTL1 is fairly well recognised too. If THM's marketing is to be believed, SAL1 is also industry recognised, although I've yet to see much evidence of that from industry.

Personally, if I were hiring for SOC roles (and bear in mind there's a reason I'm not), I would be looking more for project work.

however i do think that the number of points awarded to someone at the top of the league is quite small
you can get a lot more from doing a simple challange room, and someone working hard to reach the top of their weekly league should get a few more points in my opinion
