From my experience having taken Security+ twice (and passing both times), the information you learn from A+ and Network+ doesn't apply to the Security+ as you will only be tested on what is covered in the Security+ objectives. The A+ and Network+ really just act as the fundamentals that you use as the base of your IT knowledge that you use to build your Cybersecurity knowledge ontop of.

Hey guys, I've hit a bit of a mental hurdle and was hoping for some advice. I've finished pre-security, intro to cyber security and have a somewhat decent-ish background knowledge (that is sometimes a bit outdated), but upon doing "Networking" in Cyber Security 101, I've found myself sitting here unable to actually absorb the info in a way that I feel like is really sticking right now. Do you think it's a waste to continue with the course until I'm confident in that topic or should I just push forward and trust my research skills to carry me until it starts to form some kind of bubble of understanding in my brain by tying it to following topics.
