Ooookay, so: I did a specialist degree personally. Having done that, I'm not actually sure it's the way I would recommend.
I would suggest looking at what graduates from both courses are doing and seeing if that aligns with your current goals. Reach out to their onboarding people and see if you can talk to people about what to expect.

I don't think it's going to matter hugely either way, assuming both unis have a similar reputation -- especially if you do the work to improve your cyber knowledge yourself.

A computer science degree will give you a really good foundation (which is incredibly important). If you've got the bandwidth to go and specialise alongside that then that's a pretty good way to go.
A specialist degree limits you a little more in what you can do afterwards, but means you don't need to prove yourself quite so much in that specialism.

There's no guarantee of anything there -- it's a learning platform.
High rank on HTB would help a bit imo.

It also depends a lot on the job. For an intern I'd be looking for any indication that they're keen to learn about the subject. I wouldn't expect them to have finished their degree, and things like THM would absolutely help (more as something I can query them about in interview than anything else).

For a junior pentester I'd be a bit stricter with it. Looking for certs, or any indication that you're able to go and get certs (i.e., if we hire you and pay for you to do OSCP or CRT/CPSA, will you manage to complete it). I'd be very careful with THM on a CV at that point though. As an extracurricular activity given as an example of continuous learning it's good, but as soon as you start treating it as a status symbol it looks really bad.

In both cases project work and experience (even in a home environment) is really good

Sure there is -- spin up a homelab and use it for research. A classic one there would be build something vulnerable, hack it, and monitor it. Quadruple whammy of infrastructure, application (potentially), offence, and defence.

1. Every now and then a pop-up showed up on my Android phone that some LG bluetooth headphones wanted to connect. A neighbor of mine had the same pop-ups appearing on her phone every now and then as well. I asked in the group which consists of all the tenants of our building and, indeed, they belong to another neighbor who moved in maybe like two weeks ago

2. Microsoft Defender was coming up a couple times that it had blocked files and sent them to quarantine. There are 4 files in there, all have the same size (~22KB)

Yes, might be a coincidence that both happened on the same day at about the same time but a) I have never 'met' a bluetooth device that so aggressively tried to connect to my phone (not even remotely) and b) I feel like it's more likely that it had to be related to Bluetooth/PAN instead of 'something went past my router'

Does anybody have an idea or maybe know if this maybe even could be some kind of malware on my neighbors headphones?

i think i got it figured. the scenario is completely scuffed:

need to develop a linux executable that runs on glibc 2.17 (2012!) because it needs to run on a QNAP NAS. static linking the runtime does not work in this scenario. it's awful. this means setting up a build VM. every package manager in the VM is broken so i have to build everything from source, gcc, g++, make, openssl, etc.. my favorite part? it needs to cross compile to windows 😃
