Here's my setup for my ScambaitVM

On my router, I can have multiple guest networks, I then create a VPN Profile using ProtonVPN to, for my Scambait VM, Ireland.

I tell my router "Hey, this IP address on this network needs this VPN Profile"
Have a wifi adapter pass through to the VM, tell my VM to connect to that VLANed Network, with no intranet access, and boom... VPN with no VPN app.

Funny security thing at work. We had a gate which was just closed via a deadbolt with no lock on it. The gate is how we got in and out of one area of the site. A PIN code system and automatic shutting mechanism has been added to thr gate. People now prop the gate open with a brick instead of entering the PIN because it's faster, this is now more security lax than the original deadbolt.
