I’m going to sound like an extremist when I say this but I don’t have any social media and I don’t think it’s good to use it unless you need it for work or use it for dating. I need the advice of much smarter people than me. I have a thinkpad t14 1st gen and it is getting to 90 C before the fan kicks on. It then will cool down to a more reasonable 55 -60 C. Is this Normal? I would have thought the fan would come a lot sooner. Can I change the temp the fan comes on? When I googled it I found some stuff but it was all for windows I am running linux Mint. I don't recall the computer feeling this hot in the past but that could just be in my head.

You can probably change the fan curve in the BIOS, depending on the motherboard. If not, I would look for a fan controller software that's compatible with Linux.

90c isn't too hot for your computer. that's normally within spec, and there's a reason manufacturers thermal throttle at or above that rather than at like 70.
that being said, i still wouldn't want my fans to not run before that

Android 10 messed up royally with removing the API to add networks and connect to it on a users device. The API was removed and as an alternative they gave us:
A suggestion API, which shows a low priority notification, suggesting to connect to a given network. This notification would need to be swiped down a couple of times to reveal the YES/NO options. Then the device might choose not to connect to it anyways.
A way to connect to a local network, not providing any Internet connectivity, through a System dialog appearing in the App. This dialog took forever to find your network. However, this method was not very useful for anyone as no Internet on this connection.

You can create honeypots for many different services. You could connect a web server to the internet and see which pages are accessed. I've done that and what you find is for example automated scripts requesting URLs with common wordpress exploits.

If you wanted to use your computer to solve THM rooms you'd first have to set up a VPN connection anyways. There's more to fix than just your nmap issue. The AttackBox solves all of that.

And to get full access to these forums and take them down, it's difficult, it's a difficult job even for the FBI, but it's strange that they haven't taken down xss.is or exploit.in yet which are on the surface web, but you only have to pay to enter exploit.in, and in xss.is the admin has to approve your access... Still, I think forums hosted on onion and that type of xss.is and exploit.in are more difficult to fall, since the creators probably have more OPSEC, and more "security"
