It looks like generating US-East-Regular-1 VPN configs is broken (Identical error after generating a new one)

US-West-Regular-1 VPN's generate fine - It's only the East ones that break

Whilst I can understand it's possible that the streak may be based off a 24 hour differential, it still seems odd to have no missed days and still break your streak

I think events include things like launching a machine, or downloading task content, so it'd be possible that one of those events aren't actually answering questions. I may be wrong though...

Hi, I'm experiencing a page loading bug in all rooms. The underlined definitions don't appear at every loading. Even with ctrl+F5, I break my head on this.

Came here to post exactly this... the streak should take "subsequent days" into account, not a hard 24h rule IMO. Sometimes I'll do a machine before work or on the weekend in the morning. So then I need to wake up early forever to maintain a streak? Tried 2 solutions but didn't work are;

1-)Restarting the Attacbox doesn't work

2-)ps aux | grep python
sudo kill -9 (python -m service id) doesn't work also that is shutting down the Kali Attackbox is being disconnected when i do this

This isn't a bug, it's intended behaviour. The in-browser view uses port 80, hence why it's telling you the port is in use. Use a different port 🤷‍♂️

So, all that's doing is serving a file. If you have a look at the command at 6:08 in his video you can set whatever port you like there. If you use port 8000 instead then it'll work, and you don't even need to use sudo 🙂

Hello, i found a problem with the redeem ticket after finishing a module. It for some reason didn't work at first, so i pressed the button to receive my ticket a bunch of times. It finally worked, but in the wrong way, i won like 10 or more tickets, i thought was a visual bug but tried to redeem one of the prizes, for my surprise it wasn't only a visual bug i received 1 month of free premium (i could redeem the baseball cap and another prize that i forgot but i didn't) and it actually worked. Then i sent emails to the support e a message to the feedback warning about the bug, and i got banned.

Yello. Am just wondering, the site is janky on mobile.. Is there a plan to make the site mobile responsive? Maybe a better question is, is there even a need based on usage?

If you're trying to work from mobile, then I recommend SSH'ing into something like the attackbox.

I think a better mobile version was discussed, but I don't know about any decisions or timeline. It might be worth popping this in #feedback-and-ideas as well 😊 (you'll need to email)

yeah, i read the documentation. i followed the progress of the levels and points. the issue is that i "go backwards" my position and it is never listed. now i am about to go out again with users with 0 points up on the list.

what I do think is a mistake (reported), even if you have 0 monthly points, if the site marks position #44, your username should be in the list position 44. I do not see this as something normal, that your user is not in the site.

TL;DR - Derping around with THM machine starting button led to machine running that cannot be connected to.

~~Hi all, I was trying to do some catching up with the Advent room.
After starting up an AttackBox, I realized I did the wrong thing and terminated the machine, then booted up a Kali VM through the site.
The room didn't show a machine IP for Day 5, so I decided to click AttackBox once more (maybe it needed them both). However, no IP showed up, so I decided to reload the site. This is where things went wrong.
I could terminate the AttackBox, but not the Kali VM. The side view was closed and there is no way to access the VM.
This has sadly blocked me from creating a VM in any room

Has anyone had any experience with this? Do I simply wait X hours before it turns off automatically?
I've tried relogging onto the site, closing the browser and disconnecting & reconnecting with OpenVPN but sadly this did not fix the issue either. ~~

Edit: Waiting 1h past VM creation worked fortunately =)

Not sure quite where to ask this, but I think this is correct. I've completed several learning paths. Some quite a while ago when I didn't have my name associated with my account, only my username. The more recent learning paths have been after I've associated my real name with my account. So when I generate certificates for the learning paths, some show only my username and some show only my real name. I'd like to have all of them show my real name. Is this possible?

not currently..... once the cert is generated the name on it can't be changed currently... there has been talks sometimes about implementing a way to do it but seems like it is not a big priority... you can edit the images yourself if you want... or if you feel like you must have the certs with your real name you will have to make another account and complete the paths again

Hey there, I found a missing Package in the AttackBox, that normaly comes preinstalled in Kali.
The Package in question is called "hexeditor" and is needed in the room "uploadvulns" at Task 9
(I'm not sure if this even is the right channel to post this, if not I'm sorry)

Attackbox isn't Kali though, it's Ubuntu.

If you need to use Kali you can deploy the Kali web box.

Uploadvulns was built before the AttackBox, and a long time before there was a push to use the online machines.

I.e. it was designed to be completed on local Kali boxes which you could install stuff on without paying a subscription fee for internet access (over your regular ISP fees lmao)

You need to provide us with screenshots from our site if you're reporting it as a bug on our end.
We don't know the HTB setup so we can't exactly advise on one of their machines.

If you provide us with a screenshot on our infrastructure, we host the machines so we know what the issue might be.

Which is a problem with your machine, not the site, hence why it's not a 'site bug'

But once again, we can't help if you're providing screenshots from another site because we don't know what their setup is. The screenshot does actually say a lot.
