Once you are connected via openvpn though it should automatically associate your target machine to your connection.

I hope I can find someone that had the same problem as me so I can have a little bit of guiding because I am very lost with my hashcat and I really don't know what's wrong with it. I was doing the room CCpentesting on tryhackme when I got to task 13 question 5. The question asked me to crack this hash " 56ab24c15b72a457069c5ea42fcfc640 " with the type being MD5. I tried multiple commands with multiple nice people that tried to help me and the result kept being the same while not giving anything for the answer. (PS: I tried running " hashcat -a 3 -m 0 56ab24c15b72a457069c5ea42fcfc640 --force" with force and without the force and the result was the same)

I get the same thing in the JavaScript console, and the page is loading without problems. Try logging out, clearing the browser cache and try again. Most of the time it is solved by doing that.

Many users have reported problems with that room and other rooms, the solutions that in most cases work are to log out, clear the browser cache and log back in or leave the room and re-enter the room again. Also check that you do not have any browser extensions or anti-virus software installed that is preventing access to the page. But for many users these solutions do not seem to be working. I would check my Internet connection, and if possible try another connection.

I can suggest if your ovpn pack server is making your net connection speed slow (which generally doesn't) then you can switch to other server and regenerate the ovpn pack and delete the previous one and connect again. Maybe that works

Sounds like you are having trouble connecting to the THM website, correct? What kind of checks have you done already just so we don't advise you to try anything you've done already?

With any kind of connectivity issue like that I'd at least cover the basics such as trying another machine, pinging the website from the machine where you have this problem, running a traceroute from the machine where you have to problem. You may find something on your end to be blocking your request

I connected to the THM VPN (EU-VIP1), and started the vulnerable machine, but the connection to the machine (and to any IP within the THM network is super slow), i have tested that it's not my internet connection since all other websites (including THM website) load very quickly

Hey so I use WSL 2 to run kali linux on windows I know no one likes it but does it just not work with ssh? On my windows computer I can ssh into the tryhackme box but it gets irritating to switch back and forth.

If you need I can run it in verbose mode

I haven't done kali in wsl2, but from what I've heard others say, it should work. wsl1 however is not as well supported/has issues

I can see that I have accidentally pressed the complete task "I've deployed my first Linux machine!" if that has any influence on that.
