hello, sorry for disturbing everybody. Im new at tryhackme. I have Kali machine working in VMware. I want to connect via openvpn but I cannot I tried to run thm-troubleshoot and it gave me these messages :
-Regenerating your OpenVPN config on the TryHackMe access page (https://tryhackme.com/access)
-Switching servers, then regenerating your OpenVPN config
-Checking your system time. If your system time is incorrect then this can cause issues with the authentication process
If none of these methods work, please ask for further assistance in the TryHackMe Discord server, subreddit or forums.

Good morning everyone! Is it possible to get someone to forcefully end my Attack machine instance? I started it this morning and then the screen refreshed showing as if I hadn't started it. When I try to re-start it I get this error message "Uh-Oh, you already have a machine running in this room. Terminate it before trying to run another" and so I'm unable to start the machine.

How the streak is recorded is annoying. It doesn't actually work on a daily basis, it works on 24 hours apparently. So for example if you went on at 7am today, answered a question, then didn't log again until tomorrow at 10pm, you will have lost your streak, in order to have continued your streak you would have had to log in again before 7am tomorrow. Just repeating what I've been told by others and what I've experienced.

Infact, straight from the docs page - You build your streak by completing a question every day. Streaks are calculated by working out the difference between the last time you answered a question, if its more than 24 hours your streak will be reset.

If the time between your last answered question and the current time is more than 24h, your streak is reset.

Hi. Yesterday I got the problem that the Ip of starrted machines have not shown up. Today this issue seems to be corrected. However the machine I deployed today seems to use a public aws IP address: 52.211.x.x . So I stopped attacking this machine. Has anyone an idea why this happens?

I have no issues connecting with OpenVPN, but after vulnerable machine is deployed and I receive it's IP, I can ping it but loading the site in a browser does not work or it takes live forever make it unusable. Faced this multiple times, making it difficult for rooms like JuiceShop which requires some interaction via browser
A thing I have noticed is, when I try connecting from a different/new machine the rooms i.e vulnerable sites are easily accessible via browser, but this happens only the first to second time after which the aforementioned issue persists.

This is incorrect. Closed is an active refusal, which means you can reach the machine.
To be more specific, closed means you had a connection to the machine+port and it was closed by the remote machine

With regards to your quoted screenshot: the streak counter and activity counter are often not quite in sync. It's a known bug.
Please do not take it out on the support staff regardless -- they are just following policy, and it's not exactly a good look.

Yestarday i lost my streak
In the first place this shouldn't even have happened

You can see by this history of my last week. So the restart should not heppened
Second my streak was more than 65 between 65-65 just entered daily and answered a few questions some times just 1 and that Works for the time.

But yesterday not, this already happen to my months ago because before if I don't remember wrong the counter of 24 hours starts by the hours you answered the first question then that change, anyway.
The history of activity have issues, in my case my streak didn't recognize activity in a couple a day, but a user share an image with no activity and a day and still remains with his streak. So i don't really get if the streak is bugged or what
The case is that I only recover almost 50% of my streak
