It is just regarding the assignments section. I am wondering if it is possible to add VIP rooms to the students assignments. They all have VIP from the Uni paying for the classroom stuff for a couple of months. I cant seem to find a way.. :S

I'd drop the -T4 at first -- adding a few -vvv switches as well

@clear anvil because you have more than 1 vpn connection running , check it by typing ifconfig , it will show tun0and tun1 , whereas it should just be tun0 , so you must do pkill openvpn twice in order to kill the connection tun1 and let the tun0 connection be running .

looking for some help with how im using tryhack me... quick synopsis . i get into my kali vm. use FF to open try hack me. load a room up. connect to openvpn and connect to the box to start the lab. most of the time i can start answering questions but after a bit, it no longer allows me to answer. the button no longer works. i then have to close my open vpn (when i do this i notice all the notifications come through all at once). then i have to reload the page to continue.

hello guys, i'm creating a netcat listen sessions on a port that isn't used from anything else, and running a phpshell on remote server in this case of Overpass 3, and the shell returns that the port isn't listening if i run the php on localhost it connects fine, i just reinstalled kali linux is there any firewall activated by default? i didn't have this problem before.

Hey @hardy sage @late widget I have a problem with Burpsite room. I can't reach OWASP Juice Shop from firefox browser from VirtualBox. Port scan show that 80 port is open and running node.js. Result with VMware the same too. They are using 8 bit network mask so I think that all 10.x.x.x sites should be reachable. On attackbox I got IP address 10.10.162.xxx with room 10.10.27.xxx and it work. With vpn I get 10.14.7.xxx. Testing when VPN or Atackbook only one instance running. 80/tcp open http Node.js Express framework |_http-cors: HEAD GET POST PUT DELETE PATCH | http-robots.txt: 1 disallowed entry |_/ftp

Let them know once more if it still doesn't work after changing your email to school email. Sometimes THM recognizes and verifies you as a student, but the discount may not still be applied --- this was my case.

Anytime I go to ping my machine it’s showing that it’s not reaching out to the machine I deployed. I then regenerated the vpn pack and redownloaded it.

Should it be using tun0? I did. When I do ifconfig it looks like it’s looping through a bunch of tun’s but I don’t have any other VPNs open/on this machine.

Yeah I realized that after the fact. I had a VM that was using the same VPN but after that I shut down the VM’s VPN and redownloaded the pack on my MacBook

I figured it out. I had close off some of my tun’s and then restarted a couple of times. I appreciate the help, ninja. Helped me think through the problem. 👍

Already resolved the problem, for anyone who might be having this issue, this is Nmap does not use ICMP echo requests when run as unpriviledged user, instead it sends a SYN packet to port 80 of the target.

If that does not work, log out of your account, log back in, regenerate and wait another 2 minutes.

If that continues to error, try all the servers that are close to you, if they all error then I'll drop Skidy/ Ashu a ping.

hello, I have a problem connecting to a box while connected to the VPN. (room: windows priv esc: Windows PrivEsc v1.0) I cannot RDP into the box .. restarted several times / downloaded new VPN profiles, nothing seems to work. Is there a problem with this box ?

Hi, importing the EU ovpn files into Kali 's GUI and run the VPN this way somehow forces the vpn into a full tunnel. If I run the same file from the CLI it is split tunnel. Don't know if others experience the same but thought you should know

in some rooms I also have probs with connecting to the target boxes. Sometimes it helps to restart them again, sometimes not. The problem I have right now is with the machine "Windows PrivEsc v1.0" that shuts down after x time before the timer has expired (1h still remains on the clock). Very annoying

Having an issue with my subscription cost showing up as GBP when looking in profile. Hey, this is not so much an issue I don't think, but my namp scans are taking well over an hour to complete and todays scan has been running for 1 hour and still has approx 45 mins till completion, this can't be correct?

What syntax did you use . If you do a full port scan , it does take around 10-15 minutes . Depends on how vulnerable the box is . Did you try it on a THM machine .

yes . means -p-means a full port scan . It will take time . You might want to use nmap -v -sC -sV IP for faster results .

Is the Splunk room up and running? I am unable to join it either through the Cyber Defense pathway or through the room directly.
I am able to join other rooms. Tried rebooting and clearing my browser.
Sends me to "My Rooms" with an unknown error - Please try again later.

Yes but not at the same time. Or I guess technically you can make a second account and use a second VPN profile for the other system.

Guys any problem, my streak's missing, for the past weeks it resets to zero on its own
after submission of a flag , then it starts from 1 then after refreshing it goes back to the actually number 204 or so

But now it isn't even reverting back to its original amount

Kindly help !
