I think this is a good channel to ask, so I am one of those plebs that uses the same password for everything. Currently, my password is a noun with a capital letter, 3 numbers, and an exclamation point. I've been using this password for a few years and have never encountered any problems with people getting into my accounts. I use 1password for the auto logging in stuff because I'm lazy, but I'm debating on actually utilizing it and using randomly generated passwords. Should I really be concerned about this? Those websites that tell you how long it'd take to brute force your password say it'd take like a million years to do it, but idk what do you think?

I hear you. I think there are a couple of issues needing sorted. I had a 20 day streak, and about 12:00 today, the streak calculator decided I had broken my streak. Now I have a 1 day streak. I've DM'd Skidy, and have sent email to support and hello at THM. Trouble is it's only about 06:00 in UK, so they not answering yet. (How dare they sleep!!!) I'm a bit worried, and very pi55ed-off!

Hi guys, I would like to raise a point that have been bugging me for quite a while and I've even sent a feedback couple of months ago but I was never answered. The attack box is extremely slow, this is because of the latency between my location and the attackbox location. I've seen this point also raised in the subreddit as well. I am sure many of us who are in the Asian continent are struggling with this to the point its unbearable to complete any task sometimes.

Hi, I just got on tryhackme, ordered subscription, things are going great, seems to be a great resource, just one tiny problem -- so I was using the attack box, and one time I accidentally clicked some key or button, and it opened the attack box in a seperate tab, so I had the room i was in on one tab, and i could switch to another tab with the attack box, made things alot easier, but I couldn't figure out how to do it, like on purpose...someone help me ?

Hi all, Im new to this. Can anyone help with an issue ive been having with my Kali virtual box? I downloaded the vmware latest version of kali from their website. when I'm in Metasploit its says msf6 and for some reason when trying to do the Blue room I couldn't run the exploit. it kept saying " Failed to load module: exploits/windows/smb/ms17_010_eternalblue_win8 " but when I used thb's browser based kali it was msf5 and everything worked fine and i was able to complete the room. is there something I need to do differently in my vm kali that's not needed in thm's browser based kalii? Through the settings app you should choose to create a new VPN connection (don’t choose the OpenVPN option just the option that lets you create a custom VPN connection) you will then be able to upload the ovpn file then everything will automatically be set don’t change the settings and if that doesn’t work I don’t have a solution you’d have to wait for a THM staff to help you further

When I'm on Windows as my host os, I can connect to openvpn just fine. When I switch to Linux as the host, then connect to the vpn i lose all traffic. I can still view like things within the scope of 10.10.x.x but that's all that is allowed. This happens on both my laptop and desktop. Am I doing something wrong with openvpn when I use Linux as the host? I've tried in both vm's and bare metal.

Hi, there won't be this. This is as a restriction by Amazon and plus the newest Kali (i.e. msf6) really doesn't work too well for the machines on TryHackMe

Hi, I can't access VMs (day 12 of AOC and Vulnversity, I have only tested these 2). My VPN is connected (Initialization Sequence Completed and I got an IP address) and I can ping 10.10.10.10. I have restarted the VM, re-downloaded access pack + tried swtiching server and tried on Windows and Linux. However, I was able to access the "OpenVPN machine".
